First off, I'm glad to hear you weren't seriously injured. Accidents suck but you walked away and any crash you can walk away from is a good crash if that makes any sense. Do NOT let them push you into repairing it. PERIOD. These cars are built like a brick sh*t house and will take a hit like a champ but they're never the same and after a wreck the dealers can nullify your warranty and tell you to go after your insurance for the repairs. It's a lot of pain and agony to get them to pay again let alone the first time. Time for an upgrade my friend!

Glad you are OK but are you really OK? I was in a crash and thought I was fine, just a head ache and about 8 months later I started feeling a stiffness in my neck and it has never really gone away. I have had a doctor tell me it was probably the crash that did it so you might not want to sign anything without a lawyer looking it over, I'm not a sue happy person but don't let their OR your insurance company if they mess you around.

Full coverage may or may not include uninsured. I had to use it twice in my days in OK. It's amazing how many people drive around without even having basic liability coverage. Also, in case it is totalled and you had a car loan, did you have gap insurance in your car financing? Sorry to burden with all these questions but they may pop up as the dust settles.

The car can be replaced. You can't, so things will work themselves out.

Damn, glad to hear your ok. I know it happened on sheridan, but this is the reason why I stay away from Memorial on weekends. What was the cross street this happened on? On a side note, can you believe this freakin ice all the sudden? Glad I have a Jeep to drive in this stuff.

It happened at the first stoplight north of the Timberline apartments...i had literaly just pulled out of timberline and picked up a friend lol..Normaly i would never go to memorial..or tulsa at all for that matter on a weekend..their were atleast 500 other crazy people out driving lol(over exaguration)
I know man..this wether is awful..hah i dont even have a vehicle to go out and drive in it with xD..

As for the lady...we couldnt get ahold of her insurance company to find out if she had insurance.
As for me..ive been going in and out of sleep since i got back from the hospital..atleast 10 more pains have shown up all over, having to miss classes and work because i can get up and move about for mabye a max of 15 minutes before stuff just starts hurting too much..I pray this pain goes away before i run outa meds but the meds arnt helping too much..just making me wanna fall back asleep lol

Depending on weather, were going to go out to Storrey..or Stoneys tow yard in downtown tulsa to see my car..get pictures..and try and find my phone and other stuff..and try and contact the ladies insurance company again.

Sounds like what happened to my97 cobra. I was sitting at a red light and it was raining. Here comes a four door F150 king ranch 4x4. The speed limit was 50, and I had just past him. I really don't think he hit his brakes, had he done he might have avoided me all together. He would have definately not hit me square in the ***. The impact blew three windows out of the car, and showed my rear axle forward about three inches. I had several thousands in mods. I could have bought it back for 650 bucks, but I didn't have a place to part it out. I also had to climb out of my window. The guy who hit me refused to speak engligh, was drunk, and had no insurance. And a Brownsville TX. address. I contacted a lawyer, and he said that he felt the only money coming was from uninsured motorist part of my insurance, after seeing where this driver was from. The city had a case on him as well. Surprisingly the insurance gave me more for the totaled car than expected, but just like a crossfire, You can't just replace some cars. But having say that, judging on power to weight a srt6, would be a fun car, however I had to find something, over one weekend, and found my 04 coupe. The closest srt6 was 4 hours away. Oh well, after a tvt 265 kit, I'll be close to the cobra. I can hang with pre 07 gt's, now, so adding 50 hp, should somewhat equal out. Sorry about your experience, my back didn't feel right for 10-12 weeks, with therapy. Good luck, chris

First, good to hear you're OK.

Second, do NOT tell the insurance company your are OK until you go see a doctor, and have some time to recover. You'd be surprised what can crop up after a day or two when you come off the pain meds.

Third, you WANT them to total it. From what you described, it will never be right no matter how well they might paint it. The car is too precisely put together to ever go back to teh way it was.

Fourth, don't take any settlement until you talk to a good lawyer. You just want to make sure you get everything you deserve.

Fifth, and forgive me if this sounds like vengence, but find out when the other driver is being arraigned and go to the hearing. Get that person off the road... Call the District Attorney's office. Don't let it happpen to someone else.

Find out if they have insurance and deal with that insurance company.

On I could go on and on (as usual) but just glad to hear you're in one piece!

I recently fixed a light front hit 2004 Crossfire and the bill came to $9,600. Personally, the car should've totalled out because Crossfires are worthless these days(especially when considering cost of repairs) and I could've gone to the dealer and got him a better one for $10,000.

Based on the OP saying he it was hit(buckled) soo hard that it couldn't open the door I GUARANTEE it will be a total loss.

Damn, sorry to hear about this accident. You can get another car. I would probably look for a lawyer if she was drunk.

If she has adequate insurance, many/most of your concerns are gone. Just be slow to sign a release on the medica until you have be thoroughly checked out. With the dropping values of Crossfires right now, getting a check to replace it may get you a better car than you had.

If this was a DUI, they may be asking questions but it should be pretty much a slam dunk.

Good Luck!!!

who wants to talk to you, the police or her people? OK to talk to police, don't talk to her, let your insurance people handle that part. Get your copy of the police report asap, make sure your insurance company has their copy as well. I take it she was arrested, spent the night in jail and such. This comes from a retired cop, so trust me, your insurance company should be handling everything with this lady, not you. They could and will supoena you to court if she trys to fight it. So whatever you say can be used.

That's great news. Trust me on this, never sign anything they ask you to that relinguishes the insurance company from future compensation for injuries.

Glad to hear you are OK!

I just wish people would get the message about driving while intoxicated,or tired, or on the phone!

Doc is right.. Absolutely: do not talk to their insurance company, lawyer etc... Let your insurance company handle them... That is what you purchase insurance for.

Leave a lifetime scar and reminder on their bank accounts for their stupidity! Learn by force of example. If enough pay the consequences, maybe people will wake up.

Someone needs to make bumper stickers that say "WAKE UP AND DRIVE, TARDS" that we can slap on stupid driver's cars when they are parked. Use the same adhesive that they use on those tow warning stickers that go on your windows if you park in no parking zones.

LOL...I went waaaay off topic here... Anyhow, glad to hear you walked away. Scary that your door was jammed shut though.

Take their children's school funds or destroy their ability to retire? Nah.. scare them out of driving stupid but to completely destroy someones life and future over a bent fender just isn't right in my books.
