Question Hello...and issues, lol...

Hello All!!!

I'm a newbie here...just purchased (1/25/09) an '04 xf coupe (my baby!!). Other than a sweet hello and an enthusiastic declaration of love for my new found xf passion, a few issues have popped up, inspiring my first post...

Upside? Exterior is PURRRFECT, downside?...dun dun dun...

Interior- okay...it's a little gross, other than what I have been able to clean/polish...there's some scratches around the key entry for the ignition and the glove box, the black encasing for the display board, and in random places on the center console...SO, any suggestions on restoration/replacement???

The bigger deal-I have a leak in my headliner when it rains, although I have always wanted to be a mermaid, I never envisioned flippers in traffic. After taking it to a dealer, I know the source is the casing for the wirework at the top left of my hatch...anyone else experience this??

While I am typing this post, my car alarm is going mad in the parking lot...twice in the past 10 min...Something new every day, huh?

All in all, these aren't big problems...EVERYthing under the hood is good to go...I still heart my xf...

Truly yours,

Rachel

BUMP!

Ye-ow! Sorry to hear that your "new" baby is giving you so many fits!
I know that there are a bunch of folks in your area just wish some of them would post and offer to meet with you to lend a hand.

COME ON FLORIDA FOLKS! Give a fellow CF owner a hand!

BTW, WELCOME to the forum! Stick around. Someone will chime in to help soon!

Welcome to the Forum!

Here is a link about alarm troubles,https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...se+theft+alarm

Hope it helps, if you hit search, and type in an issue, you will get access to older posts on that given subject.

Plastic polish should help minor scratches, on shinny plastic surfaces.

Good luck,
stick around, great bunch of people on this forum

I attached a TSB that was released, see if it sounds like your problem. I also have an 04 Blaze red coupe but thankfully haven't had this issue...yet. Congratulations on your purchase...hopefully you can get her working right

Welcome aboard and good luck with the car! Where abouts are you in Orlando? I'm in Avalon Park. You should come out to the Orlando Speedworld track this Sunday from 10-4. There should be at least 2 of us Crossfire folks there.
