What do you mean perform? 6 speed is about 1/2 second faster in the 1/4 from what i've seen. 6 speed is more fun, and if it is driven properly, the clutch could last a very long time. If you can't really drive stick, the auto will outlast the manual's drivetrain for sure. From my experience, autos generally last longer... you can't really mess up an auto (well..), there is quite a bit that go wrong with a stick with an inexperienced driver.

... go with the stick though

I have teh 6 speed, and it's good. for a sports car I was thinking about going with Chucks supercharger system for the linear power which is a better match for the 6spd box.

BUT now that there is word of a Twin turbo system on the horizon I would get the Automatic as this is a better match.

If I was to buy another crossfire it would be the automatic, because I drive in conjested street traffic. The manual is only fun if you have winding roads and the TVT260 hp upgrade otherwise the stick get's tedious real quick. my legs getting cramped just thinking about rush hour traffic.

I have the 6spd, and I wouldn't want anything different! It's something calming and exciting about shifting...

It would depend on what you have now. I drive my manual daily and never tire of it. My wife has the SRT which by comparison is a boring drive to work. That is unless a Mach 1 thinks he has something to prove.

By comparison the manual shifter should be more fun as you get used to it. Later in it's life the manual will be a rare bird, and likely higher resale as that is what purists would want.

If you have two, make one the slippy stick for convenience and save the other for when you want to have fun driving again.

roadster with a stick

AS IT SHOULD BE!

I've got one of each (well, she thinks one of them is hers....ha,ha!), anyway ....no question driving the stick is more fun. But, I agree...if I lived where I had to do a lot of "stop & go" daily traffic....the automatic would be the way to go....no, no wait....I'd still want the stick....at least as long as my left knee holds out!!!

I also have a Black 07 coupe 6 spd and it's a blast. Last "stick" I owned was 62 Austin Healy Sprite a long time ago, I'm in my second childhood and having as much fun with a whole lot more power.
