Daytime running lamps
Hello,
Purchased a new 2008 Crossfire and would like to have the daytime running lamps activated. Does anyone know how this would be done and if so are the DRLs simply just the headlamps activated with no other exterior lighting on ie park lamps, taillamps, etc....

Not sure what it looks like, however, I do know that in order to turn on the DRLs you will need to make a trip to the nearest Crossfire autherized service center. Once there you will need to have them connect a computer to your car. They can only be turned on by the service center. The option to have them on is for areas like Canada where DRLs are required.
Hope this helps answer your question.
Thank you for responding. The manual states when the DRL function is activated ALL exterior lighting automatically comes on which is alittle self-defeating IMHO. I have never seen DRLs function in that matter. Chrysler DRLs now use just the high beams at 50% intensity. I hope my Crossfire's DRL do that and not how it is described in the owner's manual. .
Hello,
My new 2008 XF Limited will be at the dealership to have the DRLs activated. Contrary to what the manual says, I am told that the DRL function will utilize the inner high beam headlight projectors at 60% full brightness. I was also told that the DRL will turn off when the turn signal is activated.

I'm thinking of purchasing an SRT-6 (2005) and I will need the DRL turned on in Canada. Can you tell me how your visit to the dealership went? What cost? What dealership?
Any information will be of help. I'd much rather set the DRL by computer than to have to cut into the car's wiring! Can you also tell me if the change to turn on the DRL made a change to the Miles vs Kilometers and F degrees to C degrees? Can this chanage be done via the computer as well?
Thanks in advance,
John
