I had to barter a bit, but then again it is an investment. Had them change out the summer tires for all-season ones. This will be the daily driver. I opted out of the extended warranty. It was a mark-up of nearly $1500 for 3 years. I'm sure I can find a better deal than that. That's the latest. Maybe after everything is done, I might give her a name? A guy can dream right?

I actually drove up to Fairfax and test drove the $12,977 choice about 3 weeks ago. It was silver blue and had about 26k on it. It drove well, but the ad stated a new brake job and tires. Well, the brakes felt very spongey and the tires were balding! When I returned to AutoNation and mentioned the lack of stated goodies, the salesman said, "Oh, we can take care of all of that. We have a shop just down the street." He then asked me to make him an offer! I didn't feel right about making a deal and walked away. I mean, come on...If you state that the car has new brakes and tires, then they should ALREADY be on the car!
