I have the exact opposite. When I turn really slow I hear a loud squeak from the front tires. Sounds like the breaks are squeaking but I know it is not the brake. Someone else has the same problem as me. I am going to bring it in on Monday to find out. I will let everyone know what I find out.

Turning slowing and hearing a grinding noise could be your parking brakes. The parking brakes are attached to the rear hubs. They are like shoe and drums. The rear rotors are used as the drums. I would start there in my search.

The front noise while turning slow could be the steering column needing lubricating. I'm only quessing, because I have a noise while turning slow similar to tires turning while the car is standing still. The noise is coming from my steering column.

Hope this helps.

While rolling forward SLOWLY, try applying your parking brake. Does the noise change? Go away? Get louder? Easy way to eliminate that as a problem.

Not sure if this is the same thing but this winter the de-icing stuff they put on our lot made the lot very slippery after it melted the snow, that "stuff" combined with perhaps some low front tire pressure (my light was on) caused a grinding noise when I backed up and turned the steering wheel. It was definitely a tire grinding on asphalt type of sound. After the rains came and I got some air in the tires it went away. I even noticed this noise to a lesser extent in my wife's Mercedes. I get the same noise when I pull in my garage with wet tires on the treated surface of the garage.
Bottom line you might want to check your tire pressure.
