Default Is it safe?

Hello everyone...newbie here. My mother owns a Crossfire and she is going to be watching our baby once its born in September. Is it safe for an infant car seat to be placed in this car? Can you turn the passenger side airbag off? She loves her car so much I hate to tell her that she won't be able to take the baby anywhere unless she gets rid of her car. Any helpful advice/comments are appreciated. THANKS!!

Good news. Yes to both questions. There is a passenger side airbag shutoff and the some setup for car seats. They are listed in the owners manual.

Thank you so much! That's a relief. I will have her look at her owners manual ...

As a matter of fact, that curious little snap-strap behind the passenger seat head rest is just for a child seat restraint system.

Drive safe.

It has a passenger airbag defeat switch and is LATCH system compatible. Plus it's a pretty safe car to begin with (great crash ratings, stability control, short stopping distance, etc.)

I'd say she's good to go
