Thoughts? Need Quick Response
Back to my passenger window water leak. I can tell the window could use a pitch adjustment but it seems pretty tightly sealed using the dollar bill test. My guess is that the window has been like this for 4 years and never had a problem. The problem is the inner rubber strip not being sealed up against the inside of the window.
Should I get a new rubber strip (300 dollars) or just get the angle of the window adjusted to make better contact with the rubber? I need to know now because I am bringing the car in Monday and don't want to wait 3 days for parts to arrive. I have a max care warranty but it may not be covered.
The rubber strip looks good but 4 years of south texas 100+ degree heat may have remolded the form so it doesn't press up against the window properly.
