How long is the recommended life of the TireFilt sealant?
Does the sealant have a part # or is aftermarket recommended?
Can someone explain any myths or mis-information regarding the use of Nitrogen in the wheels? For example, can regular air be mixed when filling tires? (I'm guessing yes)
What aftermarket rims work will with Crossfires when mounting winter rubber?
I have read about the "Throttle re-set" and "Syncronizing ESP". Are these recommended by users and are their any other "settings" I need to know about?

I personally would not use the tire sealant, It leads to all sorts of a mess.

Just get a tire plug kit, and a 12 volt compressor.


No experience with nitrogen in tires, but it is compatible with oxygen.

No idea on other rims.

Those two resets are all you need, unless you buy a new key, then you need to program the key.

I agree with GDC...no sealant ever...you tire guys will hate you...create's a mess. Tire stores have their own method of putting the nitrogen in...so it is mostly nitrogen...don't ask me on rims....I pondered that for so long I just put new tires on the stock rims...LOL do the resets....and welcome aboard...keep reading...there is weeks of info on here for you to sort thru...

 

I've always been puzzled by this nitrogen fad. If I recall my grade-school general science class, the earth's atmosphere is comprised of just less than 90% nitrogen.

If you don't have a SRT, you can use 17" Mercedes rims for winter tires. Skinny tires do work better than standard Crossfire tires in the winter. About 100lbs. of extra weight in the trunk will help too. Just don't overload, I think the the cars "total" weight capacity is only 450lbs.

 

Don't use the tire sealant....EVER! It will ruin your TPM sensors. Go out and buy a tire plug kit for a few bucks from the auto parts store, and your car should already have a compressor in the trunk.

No idea about wheels, I live in Detroit, we are the masters of pothole cultivation. The stock wheels are hard to beat for strength, that's why I haven't replaced mine. I've also had great luck with the Goodyear F1 A/S tires......got me through 2 winters trouble free.
