Diagnostic tools ? (code readers)
Would those of you who have bought code readers share the information with the rest of us. I may be at the point of wanting to invest. I'm looking for info on manufacturer and model, price, source, any special advantages or disadvantages of the reader. E.g., does it clear all codes, can it de-code them or do you have to google the code, does it work on other vehicles, etc.?? Thanks for sharing.
I use an Actron CP9150. It has done everything I need for here at home. If I need more, I bring home my company's Snap-On.
I wanted this one because it does OBD1 and OBD2. I own a few older OBD1 cars that make it useful for me.

I have an Innova 3130. It reads/clears codes and will do a short data log. Guessing about 5 secs of data. It gives you the code and the english version of it so you dont have to look it up. I have used on the Crossfires, Dodge Intrepid and my daughters car(Protoge?). They sell a version that has all the adapters for older cars too.
