Smile Performed some well needed maintenance = Happy Crossfire

My corssfire is so happy. Installed new Rotex gold front brake pads, oil change from Jiffy lube (5W-40) and bought a recharge kit for my K&N's.

Hope they used Mobil 1 and the recommended oil is 0W-40.

Jiffy Lube - Crossfire? Man that scares me. You are so close I'd be glad to help you next time.

I watched them the whole time. Everything went great. Not oil drops, they cleaned my windows and vacuumed. Didn't look like they did anything wrong. It needed changed and I really didn't have the time

And there are several posts here, I also called my Chrysler dealer and they told me 5w-40 is just fine.

What kind of filter did they use? I had one install a crappy filter and oil started to leak out after a bit causing my fan belt to slip off and getting oil all over the front of the engine. Because of that, I will change the oil myself going forward.

jiffy lube almost got to buy me a new engine for my cobra. I didn't feel like doing a complete flush and refill of my coolant, and went jiffy lube to do it. I even told them where they had to refill at, since it used a crossover tube to go into the motor. 1/2 of a block away, my temp gauge was already on hot. I almost wish I would have just kept driving, but took it back, and told them again how to do it. Luckily I kept my motor. I'm not sure exactly what the difference is between 5w40, vs. 0w40, but as I am lerarning nothing on these cars are cheap to fix. I'll be sticking with 0w40, if nothing else I'll bring in the oil my self. good luck, chris
