Can the seat belt "reminder" be disabled???
I have checked in the owners manual and can't find anything on this.
Anyone know if there is some way to turn it off?
Thanks,
Steve

On the Ford's there was a couple key turns, click the seatbelt in and out, etc. to permanently shut that stupid reminder bell off (well until you unplugged the battery anyways).
Somebody must know how to do this for the Crossfire...

Here's the protocol I was referring to with the Ford Crown Vic.

Yes, it is very annoying. I wish it would wait 10 seconds until I got the seat belt on, instead of beeping right away. I always wear my seatbelt anyway, I can't even drive without it on, so this is a very annoying and frustrating warning.
I am sure many people wear there seatbelts all the time while driving, but it probably won't help much if they are sitting in line to get out of the parking garage and want to put thier walet in thier back pocket and don't want to keep unbuckling and buckling the fricking seatbelt to get the chimes to stop...
Wow that's a long sentence.
BTW I did not see anything in the manual, but there is more than likely a way to do this. Someone here must work at DC and can research this for us...

DO NOT GROUND ANY CABLES!.
I used to be an auto electrician and trust me you don't want to be grounding any wires unless you have a wiring diagram.
The buckle must have a microswitch in it, it should be easy to pick up the wires from it most likely under the carpet. If there are only 2 then its very easy. Disconnect a wire, if that doesn't stop it, its looking for a closed contact so just take the other wire off and short the two togeather. SORTED.
I also hate that chime on the PT cruiser, I would,t dream of driving off without putting the seat belt on so I will disable mine as soon as I get it.
