Default crossfire vs supercharged 06 gt

i could not beleive it, my buddy just supercharged his 06 mustang GT is sounds nuts with the borla exhaust, it was him, this other dude in a 04ish heavily modded cobra or gt (couldnt tell, it was dark)....we were all three side by side at red light....i yelled i had my traction, they were spinning their rear tires, but i just held the brakes at 1500rpms.....light turns green, i let go of the brakes, and slowly but surely accelerate...the tires hugged the road so sweeet, my buddys gt couldnt grab the road, i heard his exhaust loud and it sounded like it sat there from first to second gear, i took off im 1 1/2 car lenghts ahead and, i was so surprised that my launch was so good...the cobra like mustang was right next to me, and then all i heard was the supercharger whine blow past me as if i was on a skateboard or something, the cobra then left me, both mustangs were equally ahead of me by 2-3 cars, they were really loud v8s.....i later asked them how many horses he had in his GT, he said 508.....i wanna know what went wrong....i think i could have won if practiced my launch better.....i do not have an srt..the only mod i have is a magnaflow exhaust.......on the expressway we all did a 60-100 and i kept up even or 1/2 a car...........what in the world is wrong with my car, to me it feels fast...like e46 fast (or SRT), i guess i need to take it to a track to see what it does...........

Maybe you have one of the 'special edition turbo models' like some other guy on here a few weeks ago...

LMFAO

Either he does not know how to drive a 500HP car and slip a clutch or something is wrong.

Sorry man, but I drive one of these XFs everyday as well, and mine is modified, and I usually can hang with a 350Z or a GT (not 500HP)....

i get premium from exxon..the one furthest to the right, the same one recommended by the manual....all i have is an exhaust...but the car does not feel anything like 215 hp....i test drove an automatic z, and my automatic crossfire is much faster..maybe the previous owner did some ecu tuning..who knows...

You have no chance against your buddies. The XF is a high 14 second car in the quarter with the manual. It's probably a touch slower with the auto. The 350z and Mustang GT (assuming an 05+) run the quarter, stock at about the same time of ~ 13.8. Those cars with auto's would run a little slower most likely. Either way, the crossfire is too slow to even be in the crossfire against those cars. You got a good launch because you have far less tq to the wheels and had much better traction as a result. If the race was 400ft and those guys continued to have poor launches, maybe you'd have a chance. Anything longer and it wouldn't even be a contest. Get an SRT6 if you feel the need to "run with the big boys".
