Nickname for your XF?
My coupe is black with the cedar red interior. The two colors made me think of playing cards and BLACK JACK came out of my mouth.
Everyone has called him JACK ever since. For some reason I believe that the name JACK has contributed to JACK having a fairly "testy" personality, and he puts up with no BS.

WOW!!! Fun replies!!! Thanks everyone.
After much thought, free association, dictionary.com, and help from you all, I have finally found his name...
Rolf
a derivation of Rudolpf, which is German, and a name associated with Red. It sounds manly and exotic...
...and I just kinda like the way it sounds!

I have not bought my car YET, but within the next three weeks - I will. It will be a Roadster Limiited of dark color (red or black, (I guess) are there any OTHER dark colors in XF?) Anyway, I have already been picked on about my "mid-life crisis" and was thinking, even tho it's a long name, calling it "Midlife Happiness" or "Midlife Crazy".
I could always shorten it to "let's go back to the house and get HAPPY and go for a spin" or "lets get CRAZY this weekend"!!!
Or, Ill call it Debbie - after the lady who introduced me to these cars (Deborah Walker - see post 29 this thread) AND my sister (Debi Fyvie/Maletich) who is the best friend and influence I have.

In July 2008 we bought a red 2008 Limited 6 speed stick . After much deliberation I decided he should be Red Ryder named after the old comic book and movie cowboy character.
In December 2008 we bought an Oyster Gold Metallic Clearcoat 2008 Limited with 5 speed auto for my wife.
One of our brighter and funnier forum friends said it was only natural that the Gold car should be named Lil Beaver--after the famed teenaged sidekick of Red.
While my wife isn't in love with that name we infrequently use it while trying to come up with a name she likes better. We generally just call her Gold though. I love it and it is an appropriate name but I'll lose this one.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
