Silver Trim
What's your opinion on the Silver trim around the windshield? I'm thinking of having it painted to match the color of the car.

Didn't like it when I first saw the car, still don't but don't notice it anymore.
Off subject - Reminds me of a 57 Olds 98 I had a long time ago. That was a great car - really throughty 4 Barrel, drove like a boat, moved slow, but really looked and sounded good.

I like the look with it painted the same color as the car. I am thinking of doing the trim arround the windshield. The Door handles look good to me too, but I worry the paint will come off. Can you tell me what you paid to have it done or did you do it yourself. Thanks for the PICks
I want more chrome or at least polished alum. That windshield frame would look alot better if it was just raw alum or even chromed. The paint is just not where it's at. Same with the fender vents. Chrome would make them look alot better.
I am still debating what to do about the window frame. Could cover it in carbon fiber but am trying to stay away from the carbon on this car. Might just have to get metal pieces made and chrome those and overlay it.
The grill needs help too.

I wouldn't drop it. That would take away from the cars styling. My opinion.
My truck does have a huge gap between the tire and fender. They still scrub on tight turns vs. the old tires. I am still curious. Post tech pic when you can.

in a 19/20 you can keep the exact same rolling diameter with a lower profile tire. Personally i like the rubber band look. But you have to be careful of bumps and pot holes as they will seriously damage your rim.
Rather then lowering the xfire i would stay with the same size sidewall on a tire on a +1 rim setup.
You could easily put one of the new 20" tires that are meant for the honda market up front as well. Wich is my new plan. I wanted to go with a 20/21 combo on it. But the company that is forging my rims does not make a 21" hoop. I am worried that a 22 on the back of the xfire may look like a RAT FINK car. Just need it to pop wheelies. We shall see.
But for sure, for a daily driven mildly abused sports car. A 19/20 would be fine. Keep the same rolling diameter on the tires. no rubbing issues, and the suspension geometry stays the same. Keep the same side wall height and it will close the gap from the tire to fneder, but you may rub a little.

Hello,
I have a black 6 speed and I dig the surround. I think this car looks so much more stylish that any car under 80,000 dollars. Only the 911 and the two seater McLaren Mercedes are on par.
