hit bump and windows went down with roof warning
I was on my way to work and hit an uneven road in a construction area, the car jumped alittle then the windows went down (like when I turn the handle to put the roof down) the warning beeper started going and the red light in the convertible control switch was blinking. It took a minute before I could get the windows back up. The warning beeper kept going until I got to work and opened the handle and opened the rear window then closed it again pulled the handle back down and closed it then the warning stopped and the light went out. Has this happened to anyone else, any idea's what might have happened.
havent heard of it. Sounds like you have a switch a little out of adjustment and it set off the warning. Not sure of a fix, you might have to bring to a dealer.
I concur with crossfirefun.
Sounds exactly like a switch is out of adjustment / loose. The bump was enough to make it lose contact with whatever it's supposed to be in contact with, and it thought you were trying to open the top.
