In case anyone's still shopping:
Tate Chrysler in Annapolis, MD in today's (Sunday, 10/26) local paper is advertising a new 6 speed for $32,998. Phone number is 410 295 7742. Don't know the color.
Just an FYI, last night my wife and I were returning to the car from a restaurant, and as we walked up to it the lady sitting in the car parked next to it asked us how we liked it.
Turns out she's a salesperson at the Tate in Annapolis, so we got to talking. She said so far that dealership has sold a total of 2, with 2 on the lot. I bought mine from a different Tate Dealership about 15 miles away.
I asked her if they get a lot of interest. She said yes, LOTS of interest. I asked why, in her opinion, they're not selling well.
She said they do all the stuff they've been trained to do...build up the German connection, the engineering, the hand built quality. But at the crucial moment the bulk of people walk away because of the Chrysler emblem. Her words. She said they just can't connect a 2 seat Chrylser for $35K in their minds.
Still, the training appeared to be lacking a bit...she said they highlight that the car has run-flat tires. Ok......
Take it for what it's worth, it's one salesperson's opinion.
