Used Cars for Sale: Listings Near 22039 - Cars.com

Hey Vladd - I live in Northern VA and do frequent car searches just for the hell of it. There is a Black Limited Coupe in Capital Heights, MD for $11.900 with 51,565 miles on it. And there is SSB Coupe in Annapolis, MD for $12,995 with 69,943 miles. Both are '04. Both of these locations are within 30 miles of Northern VA. I have friends who go to school in Blacksburg and its not that bad of a drive. It would be worth checking out!

See the above link. Good luck!

How can a Coupe cost over 18,000???? Or was yours an SRT6?

Not being snotty - I really don't get it - since when are these cars THAT expensive?

Is your roadster a Base or Limited?....There was a $5K-$6K difference....

So i just did a nationwide search on autotrader with the following criteria:
2006 or newer, nationwide, keyword limited style coupe. The average price was $17,662 and the lowest priced car having 71k on the clock (but one above was a rather nice 25k'ish limited). There just seems to be such a range on these cars but at this point I'm heavily leaning towards just fixing the car and using the spare change to do stuff like srt6 bumper, 74mm throttle body and konis (as well as nice rubber).

Range of prices within this search:
Highest Price:
Lowest Price:
Average Price:
$23,988
$11,688
$17,662

Yea, it's a Limited for sure. The sticker shows "Limited" with the options:
Navigation
AutoStick
Red "Pearl Clearcoat" (or somethin like that)..

I think that was it - three options on top of the "Limited" package. Not at home now, so I can't look at the sticker right now... but yea, it's a Limited. I think I did good for under 18K with 13351 miles on it.

And now, your post makes me feel even better!

Be vary careful here, depending on what is going on with parts and what was damaged on your car, you may not be able to get the parts you need. I know the SRT front bumper is on national backorder along with several other body panels (and the tops - for the roadster guys). As I think buying a car back and redoing it the way you like is a great idea, especially if you have the time, space, and money to do so, BUT with our cars, this may be one hell of a task to accomplish. Good luck.

Also, when using autotrader or any other search site, do not put in key words when searching crossfires for 2 reasons. 1. you will not always find what you are looking for because most people do not know enough about crossfires to put the correct keywords in place and 2. most who list on there are doing so for a quick post, they do not always include all options. I used keyword searches and almost never found the car I now own, trust me....

I would NOT recommend this. If you do this, it will have a rebuilt title correct?

If you ever decide to sell it in the future that will decrease the value of it dramatically...

As I have previously mentioned check e-bay or cars.com! I have seen many Crossfires for sale well below your $14,400 buy out offer! Repairing the car sounds like a nightmare anyway. I don't know if you have looked up parts prices recently but they aren't cheap. As previously mentioned by another member, a trip may be required to pick up a new Crossfire... but why not!?

Eh to be completely honest, if i take the $14k I probably won't go xfire unless I manage to have enough to grab an SRT-6. I just don't think i could go back to a regular xfire and there's no point in dropping the $$ on it again just to lose it if $&%* happens again.

Keep your eyes pealed for an SRT6 Vladd, they're out there if you look hard enough. Your price isn't out of the question to snag one on the cheap here in the next few months, especially in the northern states as it begins to get cold outside. Keep your chin up. I thought the world was over when the ins company actually totaled mine out and didn't think I could continue living without my beloved little car. A month later, I found one, had two fellow forum members go look at her and then picked her up that weekend. Everything worked out in the end for me and it will for you too. Just be patient and don't buy the first one you see. If you find any up here in MN, I'll go take a look at them for you and if I see anything worthwhile, I'll shoot you a PM. Good luck and remember, everything happens for a reason.

Thanks for all the help guys, depending on how the insurance company talk goes i'll either buy back my car or wait and pick up an srt and save up some spare change.

Please do keep a lookout around MN, I have some friends out there that I could use an excuse to visit anyway!

2 cents worth.....

I just bought a brand new 08 Limited (new being the operative word, full lifetime powertrain) $22,101.00. The car is a dream! Some might say I paid too much, the local Chrysler dealer guys said I stole it at that price (bought at a different dealer, different state). Point is, brand new, full warranty, and although 22K is a lot more than what the insurance company is willing to settle for, the DIFFERENCE in what they give and what you put up to get one of those lingering new ones is quite an upgrade.

just my 2 cents worth

You did get a good deal IMO too!

When I contacted my local dealer for an '08 Limited with 38 miles on it (basically brand new) the lowest they said they would go was like $24,500. So yeah you got a good deal from what I've seen anyway.

I thought the $17K I paid for an 08 auto/nav coupe with basically zero miles was the deal of the century....but....now.....I think your deal takes the cake!! Congrats!!

Thanks, Chris.

Two things:

Deb Walker FOUND the car for me...
Deb Walker kept counseling me to NOT pay the asking price... which was $18,999!
