Default A very basic question

Hi,

Were there Base and Limited models in 2004, the first year?

Or, were they all Limiteds and the Base model was introduced from 2005-on?

Thanks

There was only one model available in 04 ! It wasn't called a " Limited " but then I've heard several people on this forum call it a " Limited " soooooo I guess it's one of those things that make you go, Hmmmmmmmm !

Love those automatic darkening rear view mirrors !

You could just say the models were limited in 2004.
I have to agree with Stogey, you gotta just love that mirror.

Looking at one of the documents posted above, which outline the Standard and Optional feature differences between the Base and Limited in 2005, it seems to me that they were all 'Limited' models in 2004, even if the maker did not use that term until 2005.

Just about every one of the Limited 'extras' were there in '04.

And for some reason the maker saw the need for a less-well-endowed model in '05 and beyond...

somebody correct me if im wrong, but... in terms of Chrysler and their badging, look at the leather seats for a clearer answer. Doesn't one need to get the Ltd trim level in order to get leather upgraded seats? it seems at least in the past decade it has been this way. i.e. sebring Ltd is the only level w/ leather. same with the Grand Cherokee Ltd.

My Grand Cherokee Larado has leather interior...and every other option, except chrome trim...not sure why they went to a base model unless they saw a way to market it for less money with less trim...
