cracked speaker grill
The speaker grill in the driverside door panel is cracked. No pieces missing, but cracked. Can that grill be removed without taking the door panel off the car? I would like to remove it to repair it, but I'm not in the mood to take the entire door panel off.
Anyone?????
Anyone?????
LOL! yeah, i think the placement of that grille was a crack waiting to happen. Mine is too. I'm living with it because I know I'll do it again when I'm contorting myself to get out of the car-my foot sometimes hits it. It was cracked before i got it.
There was a post not too long ago about replacement grills. There was an internet source that seemed pretty cheap (under $20 for the grill). I contacted them and the price was higher, plus it did NOT come with the silver trim, it was all black. Best bet is the dealer or a junkyard -- or maybe one of our unfortunate forum members who wrecked theirs. At this time my driverside grill has a gouge in it, but is not cracked. And, yes, you can gently pry the grill off to replace it.
