Question Rear Tire Burn

I have a 05 XFire Coupe Limited Auto. My question is what mods do I need to add to be able to smoke the rear tires? I don't want to add nitrous. Can it be done?

Do you have a manual or an auto, either way, there will be no mods required, just a little heavier right foot (and maybe left)

My car is an auto, but won't smoke the tires when I stomp on it.

If the above tips don't work I have a mod that will GUARANTEE being able to smoke the tires!

find a set of tires roughly in the size 135/40r19!

you're really doing the same thing a stick shift does to get some wheel spin reving the engine and then dumping the clutch. the more power the earier it is but my SRT-6 doesn't spin when I punch it from a stand still and it's got 130 more H.P. than the N/A.

Thumbs down Re: Rear Tire Burn

Pump the rears to about 40 PSIG and youll see a difference, but spinning is ignorant.

I can do it all day and if thats not enough the 315 on my Challenger will fill the bill. Spinning is expensive, slow to get going, and tremendously illegal - they (police) troll for that sort of behavior......................?

I mean if you wanna blow the tires just nose up to a telephone pole and have at it till it gets really expensive - like tranny and or engine.

?

Wait until it rains and then turn off the t/c. But Woody is right -- small pleasure for a lot of potential expense. Have you priced a torque converter lately?
