There is a jack point right in front of each rear wheel. jack the car up by the differential, place jack stand.

Question Re: How does one get the crossfire rear on jackstands?

How 'bout for putting the frontend on jackstands? The FSM says not to use the lower control arms to jack up the car, and the center crossmember, behind the plastic pan, looks too flimsy for a floor jack.

there are two jack points on each side of the car just below the rockers.

That makes four total ninsei.
Just take a look along the sides of the car behind the front tires and in front of the rear tires.

BE SAFE!

"there are two jack points on each side of the car just below the rockers."

Yes, but they either can be used for the floor jack, or the jack stand, not both at the same time. So need other lifting points if the jack stands are to go under those plastic "hard points".

I was thinking exactly what Lug Nut was thinking. You can't use the jack points for the jack and the jack stand at the same time. I've jacked up the rear at the differential very gingerly. The front I set the jackstand right next to my floor jack and set it just in case the floor jack does collapse the jack stand will catch the car. My jackstand also has a pin in it that would catch it if it fails.
But the question still remains............?

I didn't look when I dropped the plastic aero pan under the front (when I did my only oil change so far), but maybe there's a strong K-member under there. Would be a pain to drop the pan every time I want to pull a front tire. (I also want to pull all the wheels at one time to clean their back sides, and to paint all the wheel wells flat black).

i jack the car up by the front jack point (i have two jacks so it an "even" lift), and put a horse underneath the control arm, where the two 'arms' meet the spindle.

There is a beam towards the center of the car in line with the front jack points...that has a diagonal stiffening brace attached... I put my front jack stands at that point.... works good and is solid....

If I remember correctly from when I changed out my wheels and installed driving lights, if you jack the rear high enough, using the point in front of the rear wheel, the front end will also lift off the ground.

you guys are so funny....jack up either on the front and back jack point, and watch what happens>....
I have lifted the car high enough to place 3 jack stands under it from one jacking point, not recommended, but is possible...these little dudes are rigid. Recommended would be use the back jacking point to place the front jack stand. But if working only on the rear then, reverse this....good luck...I also place a small piece of wood between the car and the jack to protect the car...a piece of 2x4 will work...

+1. When I swap my winter/summer sets I just jack it up using the front point until it is high enough to put a stand under the rear point.
