ABOUT TO CANCEL ORDER. "WHY"
UK Yorkshire, Ordered From Middlesborough Dealer. Silver Saphire Blue Auto.
I ordered my car back in June 2003 and have been told So,So Many lies along the way, delivery Dates, Car left factory still not here 4 weeks later, Will have it by End November, Will have it by 1st December, Not got a car in stock yet, and the list goes on, Chrysler wont comit to anything, they dont even respond to phone or email, Who is to blame as CD says the dealer can track all orders, Well thats news to the dealer!! Two things that have made me even more cross, is my close freind ordered his car the same Hour but from a different dealer and he is driving his around, and has for 2 weeks now, THEN CHRYSLER go and send me the Freedom Magazine that says "REJOICE CROSSFIRE IS HERE" Well it Bloody isn't, Is there anyone else been messed around with UK suppliers or CD or is it just me,
I know I can be a pain But only when i get poor customer service, and beleive me I am now, along with having the bit between my teeth, as I run my own business and look after over 13,ooo customers, I dont feed them crap and I look after them,no metter what there size or spend. I dont expect miricales and no one can expect it,but the truth would be a good starting point. If someone had the ***** to tell me the truth.
If there is anyone else who also now has got there car, can you let me know when you got it, as I am going to go for bust this time and visit CD at Milton Keynes and try kick some butt. I wont leave until i do get something. Model, Colour, Delivery Date, And dealer name would be good or any of the above, We should praise the good dealers and ***** to the bad one's, If a dealer out there can supply this car to me, I will buy it, By the way I spend just short of 500K a year in my fleet vehicle's, If CD dont sort this they will never be a Chrysler in my car park "EVER"
Is it truely worth all the hassle and waiting??????????
Harry i picked mine up last friday night, 1st one from the dealership, will gladly provide you more details if you need them, i think they have 1 unregistered one available right now (the got 1 xtra) PM me for details

Harry, I got mine last Tuesday when my dealer finally got the plates for it sorted. I've been messed about all the way and am still getting messed about but in the end I think all the agro is worth it. I did order the car in November 2002 so was always going to be one of the first.
If you've got the time write a letter the the top brass at DCUK telling them how bad they have handled the whole marketing of the car.

Harry, Hang in there. It's worth waiting for.
For what its worth, DC Dealers here in the US can't oder a car and don't know what's comming until the delivery truck shows up. DC Customer Service Doesn't exist.

Harry,
Those that have posted have commented on dealers knowing **** all.
I ordered dec 2002 and had nothing but mis-information.
Example:
Tue 18 Nov:received a call to say car will be here mid-Dec,Wed 19 Nov:received a call to say "its here"
I picked it up this week,my choice as I was as fed up as you,but it was well worth the wait. Now waiting for service book!
Found I can only drive it safely at night,on 1st day I had to swerve to miss a bloke in front of me who stopped on the motorway sliproad so he could get a better look, similar instances at roundabouts where they continue to go around rather than go where they are indicating.
I tried Autobytel who passed me on to a dealer within 24 hours.
Good Luck.

Harry hang in there but I agree totally. DCUK Dealers are terrible. I will be writing letters to DCUK and my Franchise dealer Dick Lovatt in Swindon.
It has been one **** up after another, the final straw for me was that I took a PT cruiser 6 months ago on a 12 month PCP but on the understanding that when I got my Crossfire I would hand it back. I hated the bloddy thing but it was easy and at the time a pretty good monthly payment. When I handed it back, they shafted me for 1200. Nothing I could do because it was all done on a 'Gentlemens agreement'.
End result , I will not ever buy another Chrysler , despite the tasty proposition of the Convertable, I'll but an SLK instead and I certainly won't be going near any Dick Lovatt dealers.

Beware of buying a SLK Get references on what ever dealer, The dealer that has messed me about is one of the bigger Mercedes Dealers, and acording to one of there staff, The Merc side is as bad. Sorry to hear there is just more than me having problems, But it does make me feel I'm not the only one.

Let us know what you think of it once you pick it up. I've owned a Mercedes before and had superb service but I guess your right, if you get a bad dealer, doesnt matter what they are selling!!.
I was talking about the new SLK by the way due out in the Spring. I don't really mean it though, I was just very bitter and twisted when I posted last.

Sounds like you have had a **** time of it with your dealer Harry, but I have to say that it doesn't seem to extend to all dealers.
John Weir in Perth have been brilliant with me. The salesman, Fraser Thornhill, is an long standing friend of mine, but that not withstanding, he has been able to keep me up to date with the Crossfires movements throughout production and delivery.
DC have a pipeline system that is accessable to all dealers, if they know how to use a PC, unfortunately DC has been pretty crap at keeping the "Pipeline" updated for the dealers.
I ordered my Crossfire in Nov '03, it was a cancelled order (the guy swapped for an auto) and I just got a call on the 13th Dec to say that it was being delivered on Christmas Eve! As soon as I put down the phone, the postie arrived with my Crossfire Pencil Case pack.
I am heading away for some Skiing over the holiday so will pick her up as soon as they tax it in the new year.
I feel like a big kid again waiting for a new toy now!

God it was worth the wait, I will make this short and give a full report later on but in brief "WOW". I have driven Porsche/Lotus/BMW all sorts and this car tops the lot, The not very good reports from motoring shows on the TV in the UK are way of the mark, There credability for me has been blown out of the water, and I wont beleive a word they say in future.
PS Top gear has track testing of the Crossfire next Sunday.
It's 05:00 Now and i'm off for a cruise before work "BYE">>>>>>>>>>
Congradulations Harry, Seems like Chrysler UK has the same reputation as here, hard to get a honest review from motor mags, . Have Fun.
Chrysler does tend to sand bag (hold things back) - like more horse power coming next year. But, in my opinion the X-fire is great the way it is.

So glad you stuck with it Harry, it's an amazing Car. Getting to the point where I keep my head down if I,m in a hurry. Its tales so long explaining that its a Chrylser, no it doesn't cost 50,000, who was it that makes it??
I know you'll love it the more you drive it.
I hope Clarkson doesn't drive it on Top Gear, he won't fit!!!!!!
