Does anyone know what the part number is? I have an 05 XF coupe. I would prefer to have Mercedes replace as I've been told it's cheaper... is the part number for the Mercedes relay control module different? if so, what is it?

WELCOME to the forum! There are NUMEROUS threads about the RCM including those that list the part number. Since you are new I went ahead and did the search for ya. After you get a few posts under yer belt folks aren't gonna be so forgiving when you ask a question without searching first.
The RCM is a some what common problem with our cars. There are other things that you will learn about as you read through this FANTASTIC site.

I have seen this relay made in Germany or made in Hungary....any differences? thanks,Jeff

I ordered one from Rockauto a few years ago that was made in Hungary. No difference and no problems with it.
