Hello, Crossfire forum members. I now own a 2004 Crossfire Coupe with 2000 miles on it. Not a misprint, yes that's 2000 miles in excellent condition inside and out. I paid $16000 for it, plus a 36 month, 36000 mile Chrysler warranty for $1800. Was this a good deal or not. I've had it for about a week now. It appears to run perfectly with no problems so far. What would you recommend I do to the car in way of maintenance? I don't know if any fluids were changed. Would you recommend I change the oil and filter? I'll attach a photo later. I love the looks of this car. Thanks for any advice.

my cars sat on the lot for most of their lives so i changed the oil right away. made me feel a lot better and maybe the cars slightly better. then i proceeded to have them professionally detailed in and out. they look sparkly in their calif dry garage. what have i had to do to sort them out? gm=new diff due to 65-70 harmonic at 4.5k miles, new cupholder (holds blackberrys perfectly), trans seal, new michelin p/s. black=parking lot ding taken out by dentmasters (looks perfect), relay control switch.
both cars are happily factory stock slowly going back up in value.

First of all Congratulations on a great find and welcome to the forum !!!
I suggest you change the oil and filter.
Use Mobil 1 0W40 fully synthetic oil and a fleece oil filter.
I also suggest getting a new battery.
All the 2004 models now have 5 years age on the battery and the life of the OEM battery is 5 years.
Better safe than sorry

What a great find! Congrats and welcome to the "Perma-Grin" Club.
Get new oil/filter as soon as you can.
Gary is probably correct about that battery, have it checked and/or replaced before winter.
Main thing-Have fun and drive it like you stole it.

Welcome!
Check out your owners manual for any questions you have with maintenance. I agree with the suggestions with the battery. Also, the car should tell you when it needs an oil change. Of course, if you want piece of mind, you could always just do it now and start fresh. Make sure you at least check the oil level. At 2k miles the car likely has the factory fill in it, so maybe it would be a good idea just to some fresh oil in there. I'd probably consider it, actually.

Thanks again to all the good advise. I'm going to change all fluids as soon as possible, just to be on the safe side. I haven't tested the battery yet, but will do so tomorrow. I'm interested in buying the Rear Fascia Accent Panels. Where is the best place to purchase these panels at a reasonable price? The brakes seem a little soft and spongy. Is this normal for the car?
