Crossfire deals, or lack thereof
According to the Chrysler Website, there are no facotry deals right now on the Crossfire, you'll have to settle for either deal discounts or employee discounts.

"Deals" are always very subjective, variables like interest rates and trade-ins plus State & Local sales taxes and Dealer "add ons" muddy the final cost so badly it takes an expert to understand them. I paid less than "list" for my Crossfire but still feel screwed by the Dealer selling me the car.

I also paid a bit under list, and while I'm discouraged to see the same dealer now offering new 6 speeds, which is what I bought, for $29,995, I don't feel screwed.
Those who bought early (mine was August) were rolling the dice. Those who bought WAY early and paid $3K to $10k over really must feel like crap right now. BUT, that's the price you pay for wanting to be out front.
Those that didn't get carried away with emotion wanting the car in the garage as soon as they saw it, are reaping the benefits now, and getting this car for $30K is probably one of the best bargains on the planet right now.
For those of us who paid just under MSRP, at, or God help us over...it could've gone the other way...the car might've been in huge demand vs small quantities, then we'd all be happy campers.
Such is capitalism. I'll only feel screwed by my dealer if he doesn't treat me as a $35K customer should be treated. So far he has actually surpassed my expectations.

I still find that $29,999 OTD price hard to believe when other dealers are getting list or above. Chrysler should be in no hurry to sell these Crossfires as such a limited amount 11,000 -17,000 will be imported to the US this year, and the majority of the sales year is yet to pass. My dealer showed me the invoice on my car (an auto w/upgraded tires) at $33K+ on a list of $35,755. I took that "invoice" with a grain of salt as any document can be forged and agree that the true cost to the dealer was closer to $30,392 (list minus 15%). But I wanted the car and agreed to a price about $1500 less than "list". (I paid cash for the car, so there was no financing hanky-panky involved).
I don't regret the purchase for a second, I could just look at the Crossfire in my garage for the next few years and recoup my expenditure, driving it is just icing on the cake as this particular Crossfire drives fantastic.
I don't want to labor the financial aspect of this, but I would like prospective buyers to know there is a lot of dealer built in fluff and for them to negotiate the best possible deal they can. Here in Florida, Sonic Inc. has been under fire for deceptive sales practices that a recent Dateline NBC has documented. They screw a buyer three ways, once on the car itself, once on the trade in and finally the most - financing- so buyer beware.

My employee price was around $31,300 prior to tax, title, and license.
They have opened up some select pricing for demo models with some mileage on them. To basically help move them out the door. Why would someone want to buy a car w/ 40+ miles on it, when they can do a dealer locate and find one that hasn't left the show room floor? The longer the dealer sits on a car the more it costs him. That is why the incentive is there.
Lets hope they don't mark down the crossfires any more than they already have. It will hurt long term value. I think more would sell if more people see them out on the road. I try to drive mine as much w/o putting it at risk of being damaged (parking lots, women drivers ((j/k))

In Denver, I leased a new Crossfire for 349 a month with nothing down. 39 month lease, only way I could afford this beautiful car. Dealer told me that Chrysler was giving each dealer 4 cars to lease out at a discounted price to get some on the road. Not all dealers here are doing that, but I found one that was. Keep your eyes and ears open. Even my Reatta did not attract the attention this car has, been offered to race 3 times in one week, and get lots of thumbs up. I will probably by the car after the lease it sup.
To me, at least, this is a deal!

I have no clue how he did it, but he advertised in the color ads two Sundays in a row in the Baltimore Sun at $29,995. Even $4 less than you find hard to believe!!!!
It wasn't an OTD price if you consider taxes and tags as part of OTD.
This weekend, he's just advertising a $479.00 39 month Gold Key (whatver that is) lease. That does not sound like the best lease out there.

My lease rate is 460/ mo and that was with 4k down after TTL. 10% minimum was required down at time of purchase. Dealer can assist in some of that. Mine did not as I got employee price (3% under cost).
Gold Key lease is a leasing bracket for those with qualifying credit. Typically much lower % rates on leasing terms.

They only allowed us to put demo allowances on three units the mid atlantic zone they also had a holiday rebate on any xfire for a two week window around dec 20 to dec 31 but that ended. I suspect that there will be an auto show rebate of 500.00 because of the upcoming Phila. auto show. We have one black (6 speed)left but now the zone said we can put an additional 500.00 rebate on that so that makes the total rebate 2000.00 without the auto show bonus but the auto show rebate is just speculation and can only occurr during the time the philadelphia auto is open to the gen public and only can be given to customers who buy there cars in the Phila area otherwise known as the MID ATLANTIC REGION there the only dealers who will have the auto show rebate if they infact do such a promotion never the less will sell any one that last demo with no niles on it for 500 above invoice and give you the 2000.00 rebate right now. if any one i intrested they can call me reedman chrys 215-757-4961 ask for bob Nieves by the way i got mine with the demo rebate!
