So, I say don't compromise, but be willing to travel to get exactly what you want. This is the only way to ensure that you make a decision that you will never regret.

I could never imagine driving a car every day..... Wishing it was another color...... Or, feeling disappointed because I compromised on condition.
Couldn't agree more...but having said that, you may find exactly what you want without even knowing that was what you wanted!

To explain: my Crossfire is the exact color I wanted but it's a roadster. Now originally I wanted a coupe. When I was looking, there were only three in the state at that particular time - two yellow coupes and my machine grey roadster. Well no offense to those of you that love yellow but for me, 'tis one of my most hated colors. So I test drove the roadster and really, it was a done deal after that. I never knew I wanted a convertible but now I can't even imagine not having my lil roadster. Happy hunting!

The Coupe did not come in the color yellow(Roadster only). Maybe you meant Oyster Gold ?

Rock chips show that the primer coat is white. It is fairly noticeable with black. The alabaster ones are primer colored anyway so the chips won't show through as much. Just a thought.

Purchased my 2005 brilliant black Coupe in August of this year with 6,800 miles, and just a few little stone nicks here and there. They were easy to spot and touch up with a bottle of "Dupli-Color",Universal Black scratch fix,2in1. No more nicks, but many coats of premium paste wax to repel future nicks.
Would not trade the color for any other, since I only drive it on perfect weather and road conditions, it is pretty easy to keep it looking good.
I love my crossfire

That sums up my feelings as well. I would only take a low mileage black SRT6 Roadster and I ended up flying out to get mine as well.

I agree - go for both. If you're buying for long term, you want a vehicle you enjoy looking at and they make cars in different colors for a reason. But condition is always a consideration with a used car. Obviously I am partial to graphite gray and my son liked the machine gray over a blaze red....but I like the red and SSB as well. Black can be gorgeous but too much work keeping clean and (sorry) white is boring. Yellow and oyster gold are a turn off (my next door neighbor married a gal with an OG roadster). I also found a very attractive silver roadster last year, but it was almost the same color as the windshield surround and side stakes. So take your time and search diligently -- part of the fun is the hunt.

condition condition condition....

when I started looking I'd already decided no ragtops (occassionally park at my local train station where ragtops are an open invitation to be sliced open), no black (lovely colour when just washed, dryed and polished but 2 minutes later looks dirty), no white (shows up dirt too quick too)... top choice was red followed by aero blue and grey/SSB equally favoured

found my 2 owner SSB with 18.5k, great condition and a very good price and jumped at it sooooo glad I did - now prefer it to every colour except the aero
