Startech Crossfire...
Not that I'm looking for a new car but I do like dreaming from time to time I came across this little gem in the UK...
Sports and Classic : STARTECH 3.8 S COUPE
now I admit that I'm new to all things XF but I've never heard of a 3.8 conversion before (though it does seem like it could be increadibly good fun!!!!!). Anyone here able to shed any light on this?

Just E-Mailed an Auto shipping company based in the UK. Curious to know what it will cost. Whatever the quote is, it should be pretty accurate. The asked for just about every weight and dimension possible.
I wonder if that's Daun's Startech?

It isn't Daun's 6.1. If you look at the pictures it is still the V6 with the stock (albeit painted) engine cover.
This is most likely a bored out 3.2. I think TVT or Needswings has been doing some work, and I think they have one engine bbored out to 3.7...

Yeah, looks like a normal engine other than a painted cover and some stickers. However, I question whether Chrysler or MB would have any partnership with Startech. AMG - yes. I'd run from this one. If you want 300+ hp, find an SRT6.

302 V-8 and a 347 V-8 look identical in long-block form, but BOY do they perform in different leagues.
As for a partnership, I don't recall there ever being one. Startech is a division of Brabus, an outside tuning company for Mercedes.
Startech is to a Crossfire like Saleen is to a Mustang... just in more conservative form.
