A couple of days ago I posted my problems about my 04 Crossfire handeling difficulties. I appreciate all your suggestions and here's what happened.

First, I made sure the tire pressure was correct, several ties were low. I also made sure all the lug nuts were torqued correctly. They were. No difference in the ride.

I took the car to Les Schwab in Newberg, Oregon (been doing business with them for over 30 years and they are excellent) John Vondrecek, the allignment/suspension/brake specialist discovered a bad right trailing arm. I also put on new front tires and had a four wheel thrust allignment.

Happy to say the car handles liike it is on a rail now. Perfect. What a difference. The cost for all this, a bit over $500. Not bad at all.

So, look at your trailing arms. I am also going to put on the steering damper myself.

Now, about that passenger low beam that illuminates two feet in front of the car. Any easy ways to snap it back where it belongs? Do you take the wire connector off first and then undo the spring clip second and then reseat the bulb? This is about as much fun as replacing the rear light bulbs in a C4 Corvette!

I had a weird little rear kick every time I accelorated and was going all over the car looking for it. Found a trailing arm that was loose and it was causing the car to wanna step sideways a touch as I smoothly accelorated.

The rear needs to be checked for tightness in the 'suspension is weird' cases. Woody

 

Neil, you don't need to disconnect the wiring. Just undo the spring clip and rotate the bulb a little until in seats and clip it. Have fun.

 

Neil, where are you at? I live up in North Plains just north of Hillsboro.

 

I just left the clip in place and moved the light assembly back against the clip and then adjusted it to fit properly on the seat. It's a pain to actually see what you're doing but there is a point where it feels "right" - once you have done it once or twice, you should be able to stick it every time. Hope you have small hands.

 

The light bulb was in upside down so I had to disconnect everything and do it right. I removed the overflow tank and moved offending items out of the way. I used some hemostats and in 15 minutes had the task accomplished.
