Also just thought i should post this, look down on both pages and you can see the graph to compare the tires. The stock were horrible and this graph proves it!

Here is a link to a good explaination off load force balancing.

Tire Tech Information - Tire & Wheel Package Ride Uniformity Confirmation

Basically it matches the tires to the wheels, since there are high and low spots on the wheel it will match a low spot on the tire to a high spot on the wheel and also the opposite. You will be amazed at how well your vehicle will ride and respond once you get the wheel mated to the tires.....it a WOW factor of 10! hope this helps

Thanks Bob, I just had a 4 wheel alignment done by a very capable professional- made a noticeable difference. I have about 4K miles on my General UHP's. I will check out the load balancing information you sent me.

Not bad, but the ones I ended up getting cost a little less and are in the top 96%. I did look at those though, and was considering them before I saw the Generals

I not big fan of General Tires.....I actually was going to get the Pilot Sport (I think) but was sold on the Sumo because it's only a summer car and I got a great deal, Magnus Roadmaster wheel 18/19 (German wheels) with the tires, load balanced, car alignment, free flat repair (locally) for $2300. Town Tire
wanted $2900 for the same package. I love the wheels, now i need to put new brake calipers and drilled and cut brake rotors all around. I just ordered the C pillar 3 guage pod that is available on this forum. I'm looking for the lighted door sills. I love my Crossfire!!

i was in the same boat you were in earlier this year. My rear Conti's developed sidewall bubbles at about 15k miles. I was about to leave on a road trip that afternoon and needed tires IMMEDIATELY.

I was at Discount Tire, and having a small seizure after hearing prices on 19" tires, my sales guy saved my life. He said, "hey, aren't these cars basically the Mercedes roadster? I had a guy come in last week with a new one and replaced the stock tires with some high performance tires. If your cars are basically the same, wanna see if they fit?"

They were BF Goodrich 275/35 R19's. While our stock ones were only 255, they still fit, and ooooh boy did they look nice and fat. They still had the stickers on the tread. Since they were technically 'used' he couldn't sell me a road hazard warranty on them. But considering they were over $400 each brand new, I didn't mind not having a warranty since he only charged me $70 each for them. 30 minutes and $210 later, and I'm out the door to San Antonio.

Sometimes, angels come in all shapes, sizes, and uniforms. Apparently it's not uncommon for people to bring in high performance cars and get the stock tires replaced. It wouldn't hurt to ask at a place like Discount Tire. If you're desperate (like I was) that was a life-saver. And wow, I love these tires!
