speaking as someone who owns a slk32 the top speed will not be 190 mph. possibly 180 but let me inform the unknowing that at speeds of 150+ things happen extremely fast! to fast for someone with your experience to be able to handle. im not ******* you just staing what 40+ yrs and over 2 million miles under my belt have learned. these cars are extremely twitchy. a small bump at 150 can throw these cars clean off the road in a split second.
enjoy the limited. if you get to nashville hollar at me and we can go to the superspeedway and ill show you how fast these cars will go!!

Crazy we need to get together soon, I should be getting together with Smokey sometime next week. I'm trying to convince him to go to the Dragon in the spring.

SRT - 0 to 60 = 4.3 sec..... 60 to upside down = .3 seconds.
It was actually a really good deal. It is a 2005 limited and it had 35,000 miles on it. I checked the kbb value of it before I got it and it was at 17,000 so thats not bad. And I traded in my other car before this, a 2009 Smart Fortwo Cabriolet, so i only owed 1,000 on the crossfire.

And to you who say I need to slow down, thank you for your concern, I do hit 100 sometimes but at least I do not street race like most people my age. I am always on back roads when I do speed and usually don't go over 100. To me its not the speed thats as important as the acceleration. I am just wandering about the top speed of the srt vs the n/a, not saying I would hit it. have gone just over 150 in mine but probably wont do that again for a very long time.

So, according to you..... you can only get 11k for it now, but you think 17k was a good deal 7 months ago. Wow.... 6k in depreciation in a short 7 months time on a 4 year old car. Any way you spin that one, it does not come out to a good deal. I bought my SRT 4 months ago, an it is worth the same or slightly more than I paid for it.

But during those months Chrysler went bankrupt. They went bankrupt in April I think and I bought this in March. That lowered its value a good bit. I checked the kbb value then and a few days ago and it was 17,000 back in March, just not now.

perhaps a srt owner would be willing to provide observed speeds at 50, 60, 70 & 80 mph [in top gear].
with this data, [as well as the redline] one can extrapolate the max top end.

adding boost and pulley's do not add to the rpm/final drive ratio as it relates to speed. they merely help to get you there quicker [hopefully]

1000 hp @ 1000 rpm does not equate to 500 hp at 7000 rpm.

I'm pretty sure there is a confirmed speed of 178 in the texas mile in a SRT6.

secondly, i've hit 139 in mine and there was a lot more left...the only thing wasn't there anymore was the ***** to go faster...

as a price reference. i paid 19k out the door for my N/A 2007 base coupe 34miles on the ODO... I wasa very happy with that as it was almost two years ago that I purchased that. I bought my SRT less than a year ago with 19k on the ODO and paid 16.5k out the door... for a car that was roughly 40% more expensive based on MSRP.

Well I may have been able to find one cheaper, but I didnt want to go out of state to buy it, and I had to be at a place that would take my Smart Car as a trade in, so private sellers were out, and I did try carmax but they wouldnt take my Smart because it had a custom wrap on it, it looked very unique. So at a dealership in my state it was a really good deal. I have a friend with a 2005 black limited convertible xf and he paid 25,000 for it 4 months ago, thats what I think is a bad deal, not what I got

And you have had both, is their much of a price difference in insurance between the n/a and the srt?
