Default Tyre pressure monitor

I recall reading that a tyre pressure monitor was fitted to the remote link behind the rear view mirror? Having not found this, and waking up this morning to see a flat tyre can anyone enlighten me?
By the way, my dealer says there are no more sealant cans in the country, myself having purchased the last one at ’17.00

Wow, no TPM on the UK models huh? I guess they had to pay for that extra rear fog light somehow

But seriously, that's interesting that they would disable such a feature, I guess there wasn't a big problem with Ford Explorer's flipping over in the UK.

No more sealant cans why? Environmental regulations? So what are you going to do when you get a flat?

mousec What's the deal on the "rear fog light"? Any pix? I live in an area that gets hit with heavy fogsc might be something I can use. Particularly if the mounting holes, harness.etc. are in place. Thanx

There's a picture in the forum gallery somewhere.

It apparently is only available in Europe. The left side tail light is brighter I believe and I think you turn it on by pulling the headlight **** two steps out.

That would make sence.......I was wondering why I could pull the headlight switch out one more position with no effect.

I'm wondering if the wiring harness is the same, with the Euro "pigtail" laying dormant?

In pissed of with not having no tyre pressure monitoring and don't understand why we did not get it. But for some reason we get 8 way power passenger seat which is not much of use. Luckly I have not had a low tyre yet but it would be nice to keep an eye on them while driving about.

We do get a fog light instead of one of the reverse lights and your right mouserider we have to pull the **** out twice to turn it on.

Hey Mark, I'd trade the luggage for that light.

The UK/EU cars also get a better alarm system then we do with an interior motion sensor. That would have been nice to have.

Wouldn't the lcoation of the rear fog light be different depending on whether you drive on the right side or left side of the road? If the former, I think a light on your left side is best since it prevents you from being hit by someone pasing on your left, or if you are stopped on the shoulder. However, the reverse is true for those who drive on the right.

Prolly socthrilled. But something is better than nothing. In my case I have to be very careful when backing out of my driveway as there are several redwood trees just across a narrow roadc a lite would help.
