I suspect he IS a KNOWN jerk around that courthouse.
I believe the entire town police department are known jerks, but other than that have decided I will contest any ticket. My grandson has gotten out of 3 tickets due to cop not showing up, so its worth the time to go to court.

I have only seen a few crossfires in laffy, blue srt6 convert, a black coupe going by Home Hospital on Wednesday, your red, and I assume another red.
I saw in the J&C that Twin City has a crossfire for sale as you mentioned, 12950.
HowardJ Twin City still has that red one, want too much for it I suppose. It looks good but needs rear tires. Like I said you will knnow mine when you see it with the SRT nose and CICCI sticker on the back window, also there is a Union Fireman sticker on the back window. If you see me flag me down, most times I have time to chat. I live right across the street from McCutcheon.

Well finally got one. 55/40 at 11:15 pm Sat night. I let my wife talk me into going to her company xmas party. Luckily I am not a drinker. What really pissed me off was when I looked at the ticket on Sunday morning. I noticed the cop wrote that it was a 2005 CHEV. Guess he thought it was a Corvette..........LOL

Hmmmmmmmm. Is That grounds for having the ticket thrown out.

No radar....Said I was going over 60......... Wife didn't think I was speeding. I had rabbit started from the light, but slowed down when I hit 50.

He was a young wet behind the ears cop. I start to understand why some people have a bug up their asses regarding police.

Go to court a contest it. Years ago I went to court for a ticket for supposedly running a red light. It was about 2 in the morning in a small town and the light was yellow when I entered the intersection. My friends told me there was no way I could win.

It turns out the judge looked at the ticket and threw it out because it had the wrong street/block number. I won on a technicality that I didn't even know about.

The only thing wrong on my ticket was that he wrote Tuesday, December 2.
Tuesday was the 1st.

Hey Hey Larry.
I see your car almost EVERY time I am in Lafayette, sitting in the same spot in front of KOHL'S.
Where does your wife work, in the mall?

this car gets noticed enough without driver awareness. in this economy? with public service agencies cutting waaay back? the only time i drive "significantly" over the speed limit is between large farms.

Well, I recently picked up a radar detector. Not that I usually speed (under 5 over usually), but it cannot hurt to know where they are hanging out.

Police are trained to judge speed without using a radar and it will hold up in court. However, he messed up on the make of the car. The judge may feel like he was not in the correct state of mind and the speed that he judged you on may have been off. I would take this to court and you may get it thrown out. A simple error on the ticket is not always grounds to have it thrown out but you may get lucky. It is worth a shot.

Well Larry, I think Howard may be a little young, but next time I am headed to the chocolate shop for a cocktail, I will send you a message, I want to check out that ride of yours. Would you be in for a Harry's run?

Within the next few weeks, I am sure I will be up to see some friends still at PU....

Yeah, cruising in the left lane is also illegal in Illinois - stupid laws. I was reading up on a suspended license - to get it back you need an SR-22 - which basically doubles or triples your insurance - and ytou HAVE to maintain your insurance unbroken for 3 years - isn't this like being punished twice for one "crime"?? These assinine rules have been fought by brave lawyers quite a few times - all loses!

Also , for traffic violations - as opposed to serious crimes like murder or rape- Even if you can prove that the cop pulled you over for a false and trumped up reason - that does NOT dissallow any evidence that they find after the stop - there is NO fruit of the poison tree for traffic stops - I am not sure how they get away with this (sorry oleguy)- does not really sound like a free state on the face of it. This has been fought and lost many times by brave lawyers in a court of law.
