Default multi purpose tool

The tool is supposed to come with the car. There are a couple of pix of it in the owner's manual. One is under the Towing section, but there's a better pic elsewhere, can't recall precisely where right now.

Your dealer will probably have to order it. Mine did, came in in less than a week. They weren't sure they were ordering the correct tool, as in their database there was no picture of it, so they photo copied pages from my manual.

The tool does a few things...it is used to pry out the piece of the front facia to get to the tow hook. It is used to pry off the center pieces of the wheels to get to the lugs (although the manual says you can do either with a screwdriver as well).

For auto owners, the manual says that you can use it if you have an electirical failure that prevents you from putting the car in gear. You insert the sharp end down into the shifter console to release the lever to allow you to put the car in gear to drive it. The manual says you can do the same thing w/a ball point pen.

You can also use it to open Canadian beer with non twist off tops, and no doubt it's useful in cleaning your Weber grill, among other things.

I realize this is an old post, but do you (or anyone) have a part number for the multipurpose tool? Mine was missing of course. The dealer knows it exists and also knows that it comes in the plastic bag with the front license plate mount, but has no idea what happened to the one in mine.

The parts guy has been calling Chrysler (supposedly) and they claim to know nothing about it. Any part, stock or order number would be a big help.

Mine was in the compartment with the Tire Fit. But the manual always says: ... the multifunctional tool in your glove box ...
