true, numbers are just numbers they sure do have a meaning with a driver who knows how to use those numbers. when you compare car to car Z > xfire in straightline and according to others z even dominates xfires around the twisties as well (stock for stock) which bugs me because i wish at least around the twisties we could own them

My car is stock so i will get some stock drag racing times at the end of march or the beggining of april. I am hoping a 14.5 or quicker out of her. We will see.
350 z 370z are dogs. i routinly beat the crap out of them top end or 1/4 mile. 14 sec cars and overrated.

Never owned them and not a fan of them. Just speaking the truth here. Overrated? Maybe but they are NOT 14 second cars. Bunch of other cars are being underestimated here and not being given enough credit in my opinion.

Back in 2005 I was very close to buying a 350Z. Had trouble with the dealerships. They didn't want to negotiate prices plus I wanted black (which none of them had) and it really turned me off. I went to a Chrysler dealership and bumped into the Crossfire.... was sold! I wanted the Base coupe because it was all black with a stick. They negotiated! Much cheaper price than what they wanted for a 350Z... I figure it was nicer looking, rare and built by Mercedes. The best choice I ever made! Who wants a 350Z when there is one at every corner.

I must admit the 370Z looks nice. Has a nice shape to it. Certainly an improvement. I would buy one but still wouldn't trade the crossfire for it.

I am led to believe the Nissan 350Z engine is made by Renault. I'm certain I read this in EVO Magazine or heard it on Top Gear. That in iteslf would put me off. I have owned French cars in the past and wouldn't own another one (car nor engine) for as long as my *** pointed south.

The French should stick to growing Garlic and making Wine.

I have heard it had a French engine in it. But that didn't seam like a bad thing to me

I have owned two Renaults and two Citroens during my driving life.

Both Renaults blew Core Plugs on numerous occasions causing the coolant to **** out all over the road.

Both Citroens blew head gaskets with relatively low mileage.

Would I own another one? Never in a month of Sundays.

Test drove the 370Z convertible today and the G37 convertible. Planning to pick up the G37 tomorrow.. The Crossfire is nice.. but it is an aging platform and not nearly as nice as the 370 or G37. I love the look of the Crossfire... just not the way it drives..

Congrats hangman. The G37 is a beautiful car, but with a starting price of 44k for the vert..... Ouch my SRT is looking pretty styling. I realize that cost is a relative thing, but my relatives won't give me da money. LOL

He buys his cars, he works after school and on weekends, as I do but he makes a good bit more than me. Thats how he can afford the cars, and he got the crossfire for 11,000 and found a 350z for 8,000. He had the crossfire for just under a year
