Raced a Camaro
Well a few hours ago I was getting on the interstate and there was a blue mid to late 90's camaro in front of me. Once on the interstate he was going slow so I come around to pass him and he steps on it. He is next to me jumping ahead then slowing down. I figure why not race, its a long straight road. We both go and he is right next to me from 70 to 110, around 110 I start to pull away, and by 140 he is a good way behind me. I'm not sure if it was the ss or the v6. We both get off at the same exit and he gives me a thumbs up. Now I just need to find a new v6 Camaro to race
My roommate down in florida has a ls1 trans am. He raced me once on the highway and lost. We did a 40-100 race and he lost by 2.5 cars. I keep seeing the new camaros but they are always going the wrong way.

From what I've read, it probably would be a wise choice for NA drivers to pass up the oppurtunity to run a new V6 Camaro. That's going by automotive road test from various publications like Motor Trend, Car & Drive, Road & Track etc. But lots of people don't pay any attention to their #'s anyway so who knows.

I am sure in the long haul a Crossfire would get to the finish line a lot faster. I doubt the new Camaro V6 can hit 150 MPH. It probably has a govern of 115 like the last generation V6 did. Even at 100MPH the old Camaro didn't feel as secure as Crossfire. It seems like when I hit 100MPH in the Crossfire it switches to a whole new gear! It feels like it is begging to go faster.

I looked up the Camaro Specs and this is what I found:
According to Oppenheiser, the new 300-horsepower 3.6-liter V6-equipped Camaro will run from zero to 60 mph in 6.1 seconds regardless of transmission choice. The V6 coupe will cover the quarter-mile in 14.5 seconds with an auto and 14.7 seconds with a manual, both at 97 mph.

yeah dont believe those specs. i bet you some will run 13s with a stock v6 camaro. Just like any other car, specs are just specs. a v6 camaro is definitely quicker than our xfires.
anybody seen the 2011 v6 mustang?? wow!!! 305hp, definitely a mid 13 second car!!!
