"the apprentice" tv commercial
last week 389 per month lease...this week 299 per month lease...same down...$2114...anyone with info on why this has gone down would be helpful as i will be making my decision this month...
There are information you don't know about. If it says $2114 down, it does not include tax, title and license fees. Basically the tax is approximately $2600, based on 7.25% (in cali its about 8.25%). So it'll be more like $4500-$5000 down. 39 months is also a bit longer than the usual lease of 36 months. Even still its a good monthly payment with that much down.
EVS you dont know JACK! about leasing a new car. I'm going to repeat it YOU DON't KNOW JACK! about leasing a new car because your not in the buis. and i dont care how many cars you have leased in the passed or how many car's you have in your garage. Chrys Corp can't quote the tax on any lease ad on TV because every state has different taxation law's dished out by each individual states department of revenue, so to make an assumption that the tax is 2600.00 or what ever you said is crazy some states dont even charge tax while states like NY charges tax based on the county that the car is registered. New Jersey charges 6% tax on the differance between the selling price minus the residual value and then they ad that amount to the selling price. Other states like PA charge a flat 9% on the payment unless it's Phila. county, there its 10%. Are you confused yet?...So when it comes to the paint or the way the car rides or how the brakes feel Iwill gladly respect your opinion. But Being a Chrysler Gold Level Certified Sales consultant for over 21 years and listening to you explain the how Chry's breaks down there lease is like me trying to give a lecture on the inner workings of the cardiovascular system of a chimpanze. Now go ahead and spell check everything so you can ad that to your reply. In the future you should begin by saying :I think this is how it works: or :I'm not sure but:. Now run along and start spell  checking........bobby n Graphite 6sp #2515
You see even BobbyN state you will have to pay tax. Am I wrong? My whole point is you will pay tax out of pocket when it comes time to sign for the car. If there is a state out there that you don't have to pay car tax, its probably one of the only states that do that. Most consumers pay tax. Your telling me Bobby the person who leases this car doesn't have to put out any additional money other than the $2k quoted to put down? Your telling me you don't have to pay for the tax up front? You haven't even bothered answering the ? I've asked about for so long.
You know what? You obviously don't know Jack either, you can't lease cars in New York!

I found this off a Chrysler website. I believe they are misleading a lot of consumers. BobbyN try translating this for everyone.
From my transalation this requires $3,050 down, + $300, + TAX (Bobby are you reading?) and of course the title, license, dealer fee or dealer inventory tax fee whatever you call it. In most major cities, you have to pay tax on the purchase of the car. From what I know you pay 8.25% tax in Cali and 6.25% tax in Texas, so to a consumer in a major state that really translates to approximately $6296 out of pocket to get that payment. It will also probably require over a 700 beacon score. I've bought enough cars and understand the saying "sounds to good to be true", you have to read the fine print. Also the payment drops a bit because its extended out to 39 months than the usual 36 months. Sorry Bobby, I dont' think your right. If you can make a solid statement to all of us Crossfire owners that it is possible to lease a Crossfire for $299 with about $2k down only than I will apologize and say I'm a fool. But if you have to pay for the tax out of pocket at signing, than the person misleading everyone is you.
At $299 a month or even $399, everyone should be driving a Crossfire. Even a high end Honda Accord will cost more to lease than that.
Cheers

Why is a $19,000 lease payment not much cheaper than the $35,000 Crossfire? For less than $700 more on the downpayment everyone can drive a Crossfire. Of course there is a catch.

This is straight from Chrysler's financial website. I calculated the payments for a lease for a 2004 Chrysler Crossfire. $479 a month, this doesn't even include tax yet or other fees. Those ads are schemes to get you in and hook you on the car. Most everyone will be disappointed that they will not get this offer and will end up with monthly payments much higher.
Capitalized Cost
Term 36 Months
Annual Mileage 12,000
Cash Down $2,114
Total Down Payment 2,114.00
Net Capitalized Cost 32,931.00
One Time Payment 17,943.14
Residual 19,662.15
Monthly Payment 479.59
Tell me how this is reduced to $299. Even the Chrysler website can't get down to that payment.

I don't know about other states, but in California when you lease a car, you pay the tax on the payment, for instance, my payment is $535.25 plus the tax @8.25 equals $579.50 per month, STILL WORTH EVERY DAMN CENT!!
I was refering to the fact that offending a customer or co-worker is not good "customer relations" Having been in Real Estate for 30 years I can't recall ever telling a client they were "stupid, or ignorent, or uninformed. Although I have had many who "knew it all."
You got'a know how to thell them to go to hell, but enjoy the trip. Bobby N"s explanation was great, but his into lacking. Lighted up.
Many "experts" don't know Jack or Jill. Prospective -communicate in a manner that informs and enlightens, not pisses the customer off.
Of course those who truley love their work and are passoniate about their product get angry when someone offends it or them.

bobby's attitude has been the attitude of the crossfire salesmen and managers that I dealt with around my area. I almost end up buying an audi tt not until i drove 200 miles just to look at a blaze red crossfire. The salesman was wonderful, accommodating and very nice that I dont even bother wrestling with their sticker price. It's a rare personality and I wish Chrysler salesmen will learn that people buy their products more if they sell themselves first.

Eight months and still loving the car, and no problems except with the wind noise. Great car, excellent 'Quality"
I saw the ad and called around to area dealers the next day. All the salespeople at the 3 dealerships had no info about the $299 ad. One salesperson was smart enough to invite me down and said he would find out the details. I leased one that day, Feb 6, from that salesman. $2300 down $399 doc fee. My payments are $322 a month, including taxes. So far, I love my car and feel I got a great deal.
