Default Magnaflow Exhaust from Needswings

Is the needswings magnaflow exhaust a good buy? Is the quality and durability good? Is there a noticable increase in power over the stock exhaust system.

I removed my non Needswing magnaflow and put the stock one back on. No gains whatsoever. Even had her re-tuned to compensate the magnaflow and nothing improved. At least my car is a little quieter again.

I like the way mine sounds.. Quality is ok, I'm starting to get surface rust so I'd have to say the grade of stainless used in the stock setup is better, but the magnaflow isn't bad. As far as power goes, I saw nothing.

Light surface rust on stainless steel exhaust components is pretty common, especially in wetter climates. It rarely gets beyond the surface, though. The rust is typically caused by contamination in the manufacturing process. If you do a search on the internet, it will bring up several articles describing this phenomenon.

Most of the hardware on my sailboat is 316 and 304 stainless and after pounding through waves for weeks at a time it absolutely does rusts.
In the auto trade most exhaust systems are manufactured using 409 stainless which is even less resistant to corrosion.
