Default Im Picking mine up this weekend (2-28-04)

If everything goes well I will be picking my Sapphire Silver Blue Crossfire with Medium/Dark Grey inside, Auto Transmission and a Vin Number of over 14000.

After seeing Carmax's new Crossfires in Atlanta, Los Angeles, and Orlando for under 30k I considered heading to Atlanta (Im in Texas) but decided to email several Chrysler dealers to see what they can do. I also grabbed the Saturday paper last week and saw a ad for a Crossfire from a dealer about 160 miles from me advertising a new Crossfire with manual for about $29k!! Thinking it was a gimmick I emailed them and then talked on the phone, but it seems to be true. Of course mine will have Auto so its 1k more, so Im getting my Crossfire for right at 30k!

Im picking it up Saturday and will log my experience for all to see.

When the 350z first came out I thought I wanted one but they are everywhere. The RX-8 seemed to look different but still looks too much ricer. I drooled over the SLKs TTs Boxters, XK8's etc, but after test driving a red crossfire at a local dealer, I was hooked. If felt like I was sitting in a bullet and it drove so smoothly with precision. I wish I could afford to buy two for this kind of money. The Crossfire reminds me of a car that James Bond would have looked great in. The front looks like a concept Cadillac, the side profile looks like a Porsche 911 Targa (sort-of) and the rear has a retro exotic look.

More details of my purchase experience Soon..

Yours will be identical to mine, SSB, same interior and auto, except mine is about 4000 unitls "older". Your's should have all of the early bugs ironed out. Mine has been perfect except for some minor wind noise on the drivers side, soon to be resolved by my dealer. Your gonna love it.

UPDATE!! Well we got up this morning, drove 150 miles,

did all the paperwork;

Crossfire $30k.....TTL $2.5k.....5yrs.....4%.....Payment $600 mo.
Very amazing car. Just driving one proves that the Japanese cars just can't touch the tight feel and style of this car. Lexus can have their $65k SC430, this is a real dream car in a James Bond kind of way. 8)
Anyway I love it!!! and while no car is perfect, this one is perfect for me....

Hey Daniel. Congrats on your new crossfire. I just got mine on Friday, Sapphire Silver Blue, Autostick, Dark Grey interior, Wheel Upgrade, and just went and looked up my VIN # so I can feel at home here. Guess I'm #13227. I've only had it out for maybe an hour tops in the last two days and have been stopped 5 times either by people walking by while it was parked or people asking me to put my window down - everybody is blown away by how beautiful it is and nobody seems to know what they are. One a-hole had the audacity to say, "That's the Nissan 350Z, right?" The nerve. Daniel - get used to being a giant attention magnet. This thing works better than even a cute puppy at attracting people! ha! Enjoy and can't wait to hear all the stories about your car.

Thanks for all replies, I enjoy talking to everyone here in the 'family'. I got my Crossfire in Terrell Tx (Near Dallas). They sold me mine with automatic for 30k so its 29k with manual. Randall Noe Chrysler is where I got it. Its actually located in an old Wal-Mart building and many cars are inside the building and in the parking lot. They have several Crossfires there. Just contact their Internet sales people like my salesman "Don Courtney" at 1-800-765-2416 ex. 443. Since I live about 150 miles east of there will be getting mine serviced locally here. Just wanted to let you know about this source of Crossfires if you are near the Dallas area 8)

I bet at that time when I got my red blaze CF, Randall Noe dont have any CF on stock yet. So I have to drive 200 miles to Conroe to pick up mine which is 3k more - two months ago. I'm happy with my Crossfire and as you said..got all the macro attention wherever I go or wherever I park, cause everytime I park my CF away from everybody...somebody ALWAYS park their car beside mine. Just got my personalized plate though " XFIREX ". Now, Im waiting for my illuminated doorsil to arrive.

aha...fellow texans. i got mine last october in tomball, sw of conroe to y'all, and have yet to see another one on the road. none. the dealer moves lots of them and picks 'em up from other dealers but i don't know where he's puttin the ones that leave.

justa wonderful car. black/auto.

i noticed all the mercedes stuff, backward window switches and the cruise masquerading as a turn signal and adapted to it ok. i've even gotten fairly used to that silly cup holder. the germans really don't think we should be drinking while driving but then i doubt if i'd be sipping coffee while doing 140 on the autobahn either. took some playing with the seat controls to find the perfect position but now it's like strapping on a stukka and goin tank-hunting.

you can drive it from outside the car and trust the machine to do what you need. just a great feeling knowing that behind all the unbelievable style is some seriously evolved and proven machinery.

one thing i've decided about that auto/stick is to not baby it. get the revs up . keep 'em there and this thing just jumps.

my thoughts. see ya on down the road.
