Default has anyone else disabled the rear spoiler?

the dark colored plastic under pinnings stand out on the white. i think it gives the car a cleaner look from behind in the fixed down position.

just wanted to see if anyone had the same thoughts.

Hadn't noticed it. I just let mine cycle, but got to wondering if an alert Cop noticed it up, it's a sure sign that you exceeded a 55mph speed limit as it goes up about 59 and only goes down around 30 or so. They probably would never put the two together though, another good reason for Crossfire exclusivity.

The spoiler is a functional part required for stability at speed. If you disable it the ECU won't let you drive faster than 57 mph, the way I understand it. One of you tech.s correct me if I'm wrong.

since its functional i do not intend to override it. i haven't followed another crossfire yet so i can't comment on how it looks up. however, i do get a little excited when i see the shadow of my car out my window and the spoiler is deployed. most cars following you will be fading into the distance and will not have time to critique the spoiler anyway.

my spoiler seems to deploy at 65 mph though i hear that it's supposed to start upward at 57. maybe i got the faster version? 8)

I don't worry about the cops telling me I was speeding because the spoiler was up I would just show them that I can make it happen at any time even while not moving

i heard that if you put a cialis tablet in the gas tank the spoiler will deploy for up to 36 hours. but then i heard that if it stays up for more than 4 hours you need to take it in for immediate service. :?

Maybe if the cops take us to court using the "spoiler-up" routine as evidence, we could use the Cialis defense

Default i just removed the fuse.

the only duty for the particular fuse is the spoiler activation.

i've driven 90 mph w/out the fuse...seems fine. would i drive over 100 mph w/out the spoiler?...no...you do need the down force...hence the spoiler retrofit on the original audi tt.

A couple of weeks ago a car pulled up behind me at a light. I noticed that a girl, my guess is in her early 20s, was driving and a guy about her age was riding. I noticed that he must have been telling her about the spoiler. He was moving his hand to demostrate the spoiler deploying. With that I activated it and they both went nuts and started giving me the thumbs up and it wasn't hard to read their lips.... "That's too Cool" . :P

Remove fuse #20 and the spoiler will not go up. The little red light on the manual up and down rocker switch blinks all the time, but you can't hardly see it, and at about 83 mph the beeper starts beeping. Everything seems to be fine and I can't feel any difference in the handling at all. But I haven't driven it very far with out the spoiler up yet. I am going to install a switch in front of the fuse so I can turn it off around town and turn it back on when I get out on the road.

Ohio is "world famous" for it's strict speed enforcement... there are police on just about every corner and one every 10 miles on the interstate. Take a trip along I-40 from one end to the other and count how many you see.

Default over 60 around town

We have a "bypass" that is only about 5 miles long that really dosen't go any where but the speed limit is 55 so sure I get over 60 and there are 4 traffic lights on it so the spoiler is constantly going up and down.

AZ:

No kidding - I think they make most of the revenue for the year that way. But on the other hand, it helps keep the property taxes down!!!
