Why didn't they put HID's as an option or stock?

Why didn't they put HID's as an option or stock?

I think they should have had a option for HID's or even have them come from factory with the car. What do you guys think?

Car was built off an SLK320 platform. It was NOT an option on it, so it wasn't an option for the Crossfire.
