Slight whirling sound when driving...Concern?
Hello, everyone--
I've pretty much babied my '05 since I purchased it a year ago, and have only averaged 62 miles per week in it. I'm very happy with the car, yet have noticed a slight whirling sound when accelerating at about 35-40 miles per hour. I understand that our cars make all kinds of little noises, but should I be concerned? Any similar experiences? Does it sound like the differential? It's not a big deal and does not affect the driving ability in any way. Just trying to figure out what it is.
Many thanks in advance!

I have the billet grille on mine, and at about that speed I can hear a vibrational hum, so it just may be some loose grille bolts or something on that order as the wind hits just the right speed. It goes away after about 50 or so
Ah, that makes sense then Monty. I think it is the vanes of the billet grille vibrating at a particular frequency when the speed is just right, and before or after that it's at a frequency you don't hear. So I think you've found your issue, as there are two constants in both our cars. Glad I could help, assuming that's what it is, but I'm pretty sure it is. Mark
