I'm curious on what they think of their purchase.

 

so ugly on so many levels.
sell the frontend, make money, put a stock one back on it and use the extra cash for go fast parts

 

It will be interesting to know who the winning buyer is. One thing is for sure, the seller lost a BUNCH of money.

 

It really reminds me of the Crossfire when it came out (even though this is still a XF). Some people fell in love with the look of the XF, some hated. Jeremy Clarkson is one of them. It's really in eye of the beholder. I don't hate it, simply because I love unique things, and the builder took an already unique car and made it one of a kind. Not only did that, but he/she did what looks like to be an excellent job.

 

But does it have a salvage title?.......

 

Like it or not, it appears well done. I would like to see it in person.

 

The car seems well done and done right...except for that steering wheel. hideous.

 

Doc, great question. I, myself, have no clue. I would like to know though.

s40guy, Agreed. I feel the huge emblem on the steering wheel was a little overdone.

 

The car was a bargain and perfect for a V8 project!

 

I gotta say it. I like the car. I was a little weirded out by it. It's like seeing a two headed kitten which makes it hard to bend your mind around. But in my opinion, it's a pretty car. Myself, I dig the look of the nose on the SLK's these came out on. If your a fan of the old Mercedes race cars you can appreciate the look. And I like the Crossfire body and roof better than the misshapen look of the SLK's. I do think a different set of Mercedes wheels would look better on it though. The Mercedes jet fan looking wheels a few guys here are using would look tough, and more retro. Anyways, I could own it. The Mercedes emblems on the tail and steering wheel would have to go though. Not cool...
