NEWBIE CHECK IN from Illinois
NEWBIE CHECK IN from Illinois
How's it going forum members! My name is Junior, and I just sold my 07 300 to my younger cousin. So ive been doing research for a while ( i previously tried selling the car a few months back with no success) and after reading some posts on this forum, it helped me make a decision in purchasing a Crossfire within the next 2 weeks. Plus my birthday is coming up so it'd be a nice present to myself I love the crossfire for all the same reasons you guys do. I wil going to the local carmax in the morning and going for a test drive and a walkthrough before i find the crossfre thats right for me. My last chrysler was black and i had window tints and black tail lights so im 90% sure im going with black. Ive read alot of good stuff on this forum and i cant wait to join the crossfire family!
Re: NEWBIE CHECK IN from Illinois
Hey guys! i have some updates. Today I went to the dealership and signed the papers for a very nice crossfire. I know i said i was originally gonna go with black, but the interior of this car really sold me and i liked the color. Ive seen two blacked out crossfires around my area so i figured this color would let me stand out. I already order l.e.d reverse lights. The same kind i had on my 300, they look sooo nice. and i also have the license plate l.e.d light ready to go. I was wondering if someone could help me find some clear corner lenses? if i cant find them i will probably black them out (im not a fan of yellow) As far as performance parts, how many parts can be upgraded? id like my xf to have a little more ***** behind it
Also are there any suggestions for rims and tires? i was thinking of going alittle bit wider in the rear. The car already has a headunit, it is the limited. its a 2004, 62,000 miles on it. Here are some pics of it, and ill also throw in a few of my old 300. Thanks guys!!

Welcome to the forum Junior, can't blame ya for choosing the car that you did. We fell for the cedar/slate interior as well. After driving nearly 49k miles in our 04, it's still a joy to spend lots of time in.
By the way, aftermarket "chrome" wheels look fantastic on that color.
Enjoy!

Hey Junior. Welcome aboard and enjoy the ride!
As a former owner of a 300cSRT8 and a current owner of a SSB SRT6 Crossfire, I can share your enthusiasm for both.
Round Lake.. I know right where that is... I run a CN train through there every night!!!!
If you get up around the Fond du Lac area, just north of Milwaukee, we have a fairly active Chrysler group up here... give us a shout

Re: NEWBIE CHECK IN from Illinois
Thanks guys!! Today was my first day with the car and loved every second of it! I'm writting this while I'm just sitting in the car in my garage. I can't wait to start adding my personal touches. Spent about $30 on car care stuff (tire cleaner, glass cleaner, towels, armor all, Ect.) I don't think I've ever been this excited about a car, I absolutly love the ride.
