octane booster??
saw a mention in another thread. i use shell 93 octane almost exclusively. both the car and the bike demand high octane.
what's the case for using an octane booster on top of that??

hmmm! Not really sure. I'd be curious to know if anyone has tried booster, and the results.
I do use Premium, exclusively. But, I buy it anywhere... whichever station is convenient at the time!

I used to own a nitrous injected neon.. Yea.. a Neon..
Final power estimates on the motor were at 240 + hp at the crank in a 95 neon... not bad considering this was 4 years ago- 3 years before Dodge did the "SRT".
I had to run 100 + octane to drive this with nitrous... So it was either race fuel, or when that was no where to be found, add DOUBLE the recommended amount of octane booster. Very expensive habit. The car did seem to run better on CAM 2 (race fuel) than 93 octane plus the booster.
Not to say a CF will run better on higher than recommended octane. An engine will only run better on high octane if it is designed to take advantage of it.
