Help Please Anyone!!!
ok, we have a 04 crossfire coupe LTD with 98000 miles on it and for awhile it would stop in the middle of traffic and not start, so we had it towed to the dealer and they could NOT find any codes, but then they had let it sit before they got to it, so it corrected itself. we put a brand new battery and a crankshaft position sensor on it this past week and drove it wednesday....went to start it the next day and NOTHING but noticed that the fan (coolant???) was running but car didn't even turn over, not even clicking sound like it was even trying to start, but all the electrical worked.....so let it sit for a couple hours, drove it friday to run errands let it sit overnight and went to start it saturday morning....NOTHING AGAIN!!! but the coolant fan was running and all the electrical worked. we let it set for a couple of hours and went to start it and IT STARTED RIGHT UP!!! ANYONE OUT THERE, PLEASE IF YOU CAN HELP US THIS WOULD BE GREAT!!!
we tried "on, off, on off, on" to get codes but NO CODES, NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, and when we let it sit , IT CORRECTS ITSELF and started right up, didn't drive it at all yesterday and started it right up this morning ( sunday) ....now we had a trip planned for our .35 yr anniversay, but are not for sure we are able to go because we can't figure out what is wrong with this car.......
and don't want to drive to hotel and then get up the next day to drive to destination and it not start and have to sit a couple hours for it to correct itself. ...... VERY VERY FRUSTRATED!!!!!!
THANK YOU TO ALL WHO CAN HELP, AND THANK YOU TO ALL WHO EVEN READ THIS....

Since it is not even trying to turn over, I would agree that the RCM is the likely culprit.... use the link mentioned and resolder the pins.... you should be done in 15 or 20 minutes......

Email sent.
Once received, I'll inspect it, reflow suspect solder joints, test it in one of my cars and put it in the mail the very next day.

I had the same exact situation on my 04' Limited. It was a computer (ECU) problem that was covered by Chrysler. They replaced it with an incorrect model ECU and the Governor would not allow the car to exceed 115mph I took it back and they put the correct one in.
But as I said it did the exact same thing, just dead in it's tracks.

DSC_0180.JPGHi tighed1, great job on the RCM repair, trying to troubleshoot the problem I opened the big gray plug and the wires jumped out!.Have problems to put them back into theirs position, hope you can help me.
Legend, I just looked at mine and the wiring is the same as your pic..... since there are two red/green lines side by side, I cant tell you if you have them correct.... the schematics would tell you if they are common...
edit: you can find the schematic for the RCM in the service manual on pages 8W-10-21 & 22. The connector you are showing is E. Looking at that, the technically go to specific points, but they both come from the same relay in the RCM so it shouldnt matter. Being ****, I would use a meter and make sure they match the schematic.

The service manual is full of errors,it says that the D connector is black and in my car is gray like the E connector; Also states that the line in the #6 cavity in the E connector is BK/DG,there is only one BK/DG
going to that connector and it goes to # 4 cavity.
