While it is true the Carmax and local dealers are largely out of line on prices... I have observed several eBay auctions for Coupes, NICE cars from what I can tell - where the auction price only goes to $6,000 or so dollars - reserves not met, of course.

There is one in Canada that has resorted to a buy it now price of $9100 for a sex speed, red, limited that needs only two tires (so they say).

I guess toys are not selling right now. Got an offer on my Roadster: $15,000. Rejected it yesterday but maybe I better take it.

If there is anyone out there that, like me, dreams of owning two XF's, now appears to be a good time to buy.

Tonight, I'll be test driving a Red six speed Coupe near Macon - while Boiler drives a similar car in Indianapolis (for my purchase, not his - unless he gets tempted to get a car for Molly and buys it out from under me - no hard feelings if he does!) No matter what, .... I"m gonna be a two XF guy soon!

 

Pizzaguy, I'm in Canada and the one you saw for $9100 is closer to my budget. Can you please send me the details on where you found it ?

Sorry to report it was not exactly what you wanted, but I sincerely feel the right one is out there, if you are willing to be patient.

Like I said over the phone, if it were me, I would wait till December or January and find one of these people who needs to move the car quick and offer them peanuts, thats what I did

 

Probably worth the drive to canada, although I don't know if they'll let me across the border with a sex speed...
