it was funny watching these big ford bears trying to climb back outta that hole, spitting gravel into windshields everywhere, fishtailing like mad and sending up clouds of dust.
very entertaining, in a dukes-of-hazard kinda way.
left the cruise at 5-over. no problemo.
dan...very pretty city there.
Yeah the cops get pretty creative around here. I've done a lot of Phoenix-Tucson on I-10 EB, they seem to prefer hanging around behind freeway girders. Saw one on a hill next to the WB lanes, the WB traffic had no way to see him.
The thing that pisses me off around here is that nobody does warning flashes when they see a cop hiding. I do it all the time but I'm definitely in the minority.

krusty,
I agree with you, but we're from a different era. Seems like today everyone is out for themself as evidenced by their aggressive driving and the me... me... me... atitude. Heck, truck drivers hardly stop to help other drivers much less stranded four wheelers anymore.
Have you noticed you can get by doing 70-75 on the freeways in town and never see DPS (AZ version of CHIPS for you out of state folks) while out in the boonies they nab you for doing 80 in a 75 mph zone. Driving a XFire makes it even tougher on the open stretches of highway between PHX and Tucson.... the car just wants to let loose...
