Default WindShield Washer Fluid

Hello all.
Well I've had my xfire for 2 weeks now so far so good, Except 2 days after I got it I thought I'd check all fluid levels open the windshield washer bottle, didn't see any thing (AhHa dealer forgot somthing I thought) So I grabbed a gallon of fluid and carefully started to fill it, being carefull as not to spill a drop. Put the whole gallon in and still didn't see any in the neck of the tank. At that point my wife came out and asked what I was doing, told her dealer didn't fill it so I did. She busted out laughing and said step back away from the car and look down. There it was looked like the whole gallon went on the floor. As soon as this lousy weather gets better I'll pull the inner well off and take a looksy.javascript:emoticon('')

There were post's about this when the car first came out.The car has an overflow port on the neck also the filler tube is not sealed to the tank.Over filling the tank will get your feet wet I think they wanted the fluid to over flow on the ground than the under hood wiring. This problem is stupid but normal.

I remember the post... think I asked the same question several months back...

How are you to top it off without wasting all the fluid leaking all over the floor and is there a way to seal so it doesn't leak???

Agree, very stupid setup.

You can take off the right front fender shield and seal the filler hose. They put a 1" tube in a 1 1/2" hole. Some cars put an access hole in the fender shield to check the level.I don't know why they couldn't do this.Just add fluid in small quantities.
