Is that a new Bentley?
Is that a new Bentley?
Had to stop by a local gas station to feed my babies thirst. While there a new Cadillac Escalade pulls up and a very professional looking fellow steps out. He looked over at my car, then walked around it and asked me, "Is that the new Bentley?" "No, it's a Crossfire," I answered. "Did you change all the badging?" Said he. "Why yes I did, and a few other little things." Was my reply. He responded with "Very nice. I've been wanting a new Bentley and at first glance your Crossfire sure looked like one." I just smiled!
Re: Is that a new Bentley?
Here's an old encounter I had with a Bentley a few years ago.

I'm not into high priced "luxury" cars at all. Usually I pay no attention to em. Even if I was rich, I don't think I'd own one. But I got to say, if I could afford a Bentley GT, I think I could make an exception.

I used the same photos to show the similarities in the cars. The current story is about something that just happened!
I usually get a couple "nods" a month from others about the car, but lately it seems like I can't go anywhere without someone telling me how much they like the car.
On the way to the movies today I stopped at an AM/PM to pick up a bottle of Coke ($6 in the theater!), I came out to find almost a dozen people all around the car trying to figure what it was. A few nice comments on the AMG badging. I didn't have to say anything about the AMG heritage as several guys started explaining AMGs relationship with MB as their performance arm. Lots of "oohs and aahs" from their description. When I opened the Lambo doors one of them said "NO WAY, that is toooo COOL".
I think the car is getting more attention as time goes on (and fewer are on the road). Where can you get this kind of attention at the prices these cars are going for. Gotta love it!

Honestly, though, it is kind of fun when people look at it just trying to figure out what it is, then compliment you on it and ask what kind of car it actually is.
